The last year,it has been a hell of a ride. I opened the ' reputation ' tour for Taylor Swift, I meant Beyonce and Ed Sheeran. I published an E.P. and an original album, Handwritten.
Every songs in that album has a very special meaning. Although,most of my fans believe some songs refere to a woman. If you think if it, it is truly for a woman. The only problem is that the woman the album is dedicated to is 1 and a half years old.
Yeah of course I'm talking about Ela.
"I got the statistics" Andrew says getting in the office I'm usually chilling with the guys. Geoff,Zubin and Eddy.
"Let me see" Geoff says. Lately Geoff has been like a brother to me. I'm really starting to feel as he is my brother.
"What do we got?" I ask them as I let Ela on the floor to crawl to Eddy. She loves playing with the glasses he is always wearing
"No.1 in the top 200 of billboard for new artist. Dude. You are slaying Justin Bieber" Geoff says giving me the paper to see what's going on
I'm in 5 categories of Billboard and also one of the performances
"Holy crap" I say smiling seeing all the progress I have done.
"Good job Mendes. I remember you saying a year ago that you would even afford to pay the rent for the house I got you. The world can afford you Mendes. In the good way" Andrew says , sitting down on his office to post the needed photos
Ela looks at me with her big brown eyes and pushes her hands in front , trying to motion Eddy who is holding her to come my way
"I think she wants you" Eddy says with a small laugh
"Daddy's girl. These things always happen. I can't wait to see her grow up and Shawn running after her like Ela does now. Not that now you aren't running after her" Geoff tells him , and Eddy gives me Ela
"I can't wait to see you become a father and see you how you will be" I tell Geoff and he lightly pushes me
"Guess what?" Andrew tells me
"What?" I ask him
"We are going to the EMA's. Best push,best new,best pop,best male and a live performance" Andrew says
"Are we sure he is nominated for all this awards?" Geoff asks. Yeah, totally. He also acts like a brother
"Shut up. This is great. This is more than great" I say with a smile imprinted on my face
Ela puts her lips together like she is trying to speak but no words come out.She looks like she is disappointed. She sits down on my knees and I hold her from her hands
"Shawn your mom" Zubin says giving me my phone
I press the green button on the screen and bring the phone near my ear
"Hey mom"
"Who's baby is a legand? Mine"
"Mom. " I say laughing
"This is great. Like... Aaliyah is even happy about that. And you know how she is because you can't take her with you in LA."
"Tell her that she still has 6 months of school. Then she can come"
"By then I will in university" Aaliyah shouts loudly
"She loves you" my mom says
"I love her too" I say laughing
"We all all happy for you. And your dad even more" my mom says and that brings tears in my eyes
"Dad" Ela says looking at me
"Who was that?" My mom asks
"Ela.." I say smiling
"Oh god" my mom says ready to cry
"I will call you later" I say , ending the call
"Her first word" Andrew and Geoff say the same time
"Say it again" I encourage her , picking her up and looking at her
"Ddad" Ela says again and this is so beautiful
When I was about to break down of the thought of my dad, Ela brought so much happiness to me. I'm a dad too. Ela's dad
