Second update

I decided to take Manuela to my parents house . Mom will take care of her while I try to study for my final exam that's tomorrow. Nash and Ed agreed to watch out Manuela while I will be taking the exam . They have all been supportive

"How was the first night ?" My mom asks , sitting on the armchair with Manuela in her hands

"She only woke up 2 times. And it took me around 3 hours to make her sleep again at each time " I say , highlighting the important details on my book

"Are you sure that Nash and Ed will be able to keep Ela safe?" My mom asks

"Ela?" I questions

"Short form for Manuela. We can call it either Manuela or Ela" my mom explains and it doesn't sound the bad

"Back to the question. Nash is funny so Manuela won't cry at much , and Ed is an expert in babies. He studied psychology for kids at uni . I think they can survive for 3 hours"

"Well , if you need anything, I will be one call away" she says , ans Manuela seems so calm now . Funny thing ; she has been sleeping from the moment we got here while at night she couldn't sleep for 20 minutes

"How aren't you at work?" I ask her , she has her own real estate agency

"It's my office , I can go whenever i want . Your dad is at his office and Aaliyah at school"

"Okay" I simply say , before getting back to reading .

Lydia seems that she had planned to leave us alone , after giving birth a while ago . My mom explained to me that the movement she did by not letting Manuela get in contact with her skin , means that she didn't want her to recognize her at all . She didn't and doesn't want her own child

My mom gets up and goes to her room with Manuela so I won't be disturbed . I really want to pass this exam . It's the final exam and I'm not eager to do one more year at university studying architecture , while having a baby around the house

Aaliyah enters the house and it seems like I scared her

"Why are you here?" She asks me

"I'm studying . Mom is with Ela upstairs"

"Ela?"

"Short form for Manuela"

"I prefer Manuela" Aaliyah says , leaving her bag down and sitting next to me

"Why are you home early?" I ask her , as she looks at the containt of the books

"Dude it's 3 pm. When did you start studying?" She asks me with a small smile

"9 am"

"You must be kidding me " she says raising an eyebrow

"I'm not . I have read all this like 3 times and I will study all night just to pass "

"Oh come on. Jeoff passed the final exam and he didn't study at all. You will get that diploma for sure " Aaliyah says , putting her hair into a ponytail

"You think ?"

"Yeah . And stop reading for now. You will burn that thing " she says , knocking my head and I push her on the couch while she lays with her stomach

"Say sorry" I tell her and she won't stop laughing

"No.. way" she says between laughters and I finally let go of her when I see my mom

And we act like the mature siblings we are

" I'm home " dad says , and I rise a hand waving at him

" Hi dad" Aaliyah says

Dad takes off his coat and kisses Aaliyah on the check and gives me a bro hug that he will never manage to do it right

"You should seriously stop doing that thing" my mom comments , and gives Manuela to dad

"Where's my baby? Do you miss me ? Yes you do . You are beautiful" my dad in a baby voice at Manuela causing her giggle and Aaliyah to laugh like an idiot

"You should see him when you were babies" mom says , sitting between me and Aaliyah

Aaliyah goes to her room to do her homework , mom starts preparing dinner , since we sat and eat lunch together after a long time , and is taking a long short

Well , I'm revising again my notes , just to make sure I have everything in mind , while I feed Manuela

I'm starting to like this .
