Ela , as we all call her now , is one month old . She is still keeping me up all night with her soft sobs and cryings. Dad had a 15 day break so we watched Ela those days when I was at work , and my mo watch her for a week too

Now , they both have to go back to their work, and me too . With Ela with me

I have Ela in the sling , that always me to walk around with her with me , and she is able to see me

"Good morning" I say to Kayla and Kelly , as I walk to the second floor where we usually work

"Daddy Mendes. And it is not a sexaul reference. You are seriously a daddy" Kayla says , looking at Ela , who has her head on my chest

" Just stop " Kelly comments and Kayla softly laughs

"You think you can work with Ela with you?" Kayla asks me , fixing the small hat that Ela is wearing

"I usually just encourage people and give them instructions . Boss said it is okay to bring Ela at work , and he said he understands which I really didn't get , and what can be more encouraging than a baby ?" I say pointing to Ela , who tries to bite my finger

"Did you feed her ?" Kelly asks , taking Ela's bag and taking out a bottle of milk

"Yes I did" I answer

"Bring her too me " Kelly says , and I take off the sling for Kelly to wear " this is really comfortable" she comments, trying to feed but Ela rejects so Kelly puts the bottle of milk , back into the bag

A few ladies get in the second floor z to work out , but they are distrusted by Ela

"Oh my gosh , what a cute baby" the elder one says , taking her hand out and Ela grabs her finger

" This is the best baby by far . She is so cute . It's just... " the other one says , unable to find a word to describe what it is

" She must be a copy of her husband" the third lady says , and a few more come up

" Oh no . She is not my daughter ." Kelly says

"Goes daughter is it then ?" The elder one says Kelly

"Mine " I answer and they all look at me

"Yours ?" A few ladies asks

"Yes , mine " I answer , taking the sling out of Kelly and wearing. And Ela lays her head again on my chest

The ladies look at me and Ela and start whispering something. And I don't know it is not for good

"Is something wrong ?" Kayla asks one of them , who walks to me . Kayla has always been the one to get the snake out of the hole , while Kelly is the quite spirit

"I just don't like the fact that you brought her niece here , and telling everyone that she is your daughter. There are easier ways to get someone to fuck with you . I doubt that she her mother knows that she is with you . " she says , leaving all the other ladies shook and me , ready to explode from anger

"First of all , she is my daughter. Not niece. I can show photos if you want from the moment she was born " I say taking out my phone and showing them a photo that the doctor captured the very first time I held her into my arms " Second of all , you should be ashamed to be accusing me for something that I would never do on purpose . I respect women , and I would never use Ela for something like that . Not that I would use her for anything . " I say , holding Ela's head

"Oh , yeah ? Even if you are her dad , where's her mother ?" She asks , with a 'i win' face

"She left us when she was just born for another man. She abandoned us , and wrote a letter that she doesn't want to contact with her ever again . She wanted Ela dead , and before Ela could be one days old , she left us . Are you happy now ?" I yell at her , and Ela starts crying so I get to the nearest bathroom

I try to calm her down , and then change her dirty diaper

"Calm down shhhhh . I'm here . I'm here. We don't care what them people say okay ? You have me . And only me. And if Lydia hates you , I love you more than she could ever someone love " I say to Ela , kissing her head

"We don't have to be ordinary , make your best mistakes , we don't have the time to be sorry , so baby be the life of the party " I sing to Ela and I hear the sound that iphones do when they stop recording a video

I look around but I don't see anything. I just let it go . I walk back to Kelly and Kayla to see that the woman that got into the argument with me is gone , and the other women looking at me and Ela with a smile

Maybe , there are some people that are not cold hearted
