Let's try writing something from a male POV. Lemme try and think through the mind of the male species🤣❤️
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I walk up to the store, and buy another box
Light up my cigarette, walked down a few blocks
Crossed the street; stopped right in my track
I was too stunned to even take a step backThere, in front of me, stood an angel from heaven
Taking orders from Kurt, the guy on table 7
She sees me standing, and she smiles
My heart and soul both crumble in pilesI might've accidentally stood there all day
Cuz, damn, her beauty made it hard to look away
When nighttime came, I bid her shadow goodbye
I went home smiling, promising that I'll pass byI woke up, very early, the next beautiful day,
Took a shower, dressed smartly, and was on my way
I entered the place, and there she was, singing
I could almost hear the angels' bells ringingI sat that day, all through to dinner
And felt myself a damn winner
"Anything else?" She asks; smiling all the same
Maybe a little something like your name? That night we talked and laughed til it was dawn
Her voice; a harp playing from the gardens of Babylon
And from that day, I knew I was in too deep
When the colour of her eyes wouldn't let me sleepMy days turned from awesome to great
Lovestruck you say? Well damn straight
I've been visited by an angel from the heavens above
It's that thing you people would refer to as loveWeeks turned to months, those turned to a year
Our love was going strong; floating in the atmosphere
Time was passing and I knew one thing
It's time to seal it off with a diamond ringI woke up that day, damn eager to commit
But what would she say. I was scared, I admit
I put on my pants, and a shirt that she bought
Smiling like a lovesick puppy; yup she's my soft spotIf she asked me for the moon; she'll have it in a heartbeat
If she wants to go to space; she can take the front seat
If she asked for my heart, she can gladly have that too
Because the way she makes me feel is something so brand newI made my way towards that street
The same one where my heart skipped a beat
I heard a commotion; why are they so loud?
And i was greeted by screams and a crying crowd."Shame. She was far too young." I heard one say
"Indeed. She looked especially happy today."
I pushed them aside to find out more
and my heart came crashing to the floorMy baby, my angel, was covered in red
Gun shot wounds covered her head
She laid there, lying still, her eyes wide
And i felt my heart break insideI fell to my knees, a crying mess
As I hung tightly to her dress
Blood started to seep to my hand
Why'd she die? I'll never understand.A stray bullet, caught her by surprise
Causing her early and painful demise
Another one was shot, for good measure
Making me lose my precious treasureIt's been a year that I haven't seen her face
It's but an undying memory, a cold embrace
I pick up the flowers, and head to her grave
Missing her touch that I painfully craveI sit on the cold, lonely grass every time
Crying for my princess, my lucky dime
I make the same promise, as I do every year
"You're not gone. Your memory lives in here."
