When it came to it, you lost that bid
You said you undeniably cared
That you treasured this bond we shared
You said it's me and you forever
That we would always be together
But guess what, your time's up
But I drank from your poisoned cup
My body's tainted; I'm weak
Can't breathe, can't speak
I can't even move a leg
But no, no way in hell will I beg
If I shall die, it'll be with pride
My dignity intact, nothing to hide
I'll die without you on my mind
Losing hope in all of mankind
The poison of betrayal now runs in my blood
Overwhelming my senses, my heart beginning to flood
But I won't call for help, I won't give you the satisfaction
Won't make you feel proud or wait for your reaction
My heart is stopping, my mind is racing
But I'm up to it; this task I'm facing
My eyes are blurry and my body's numb
I don't have to question where this is coming from
I take a step forward, then two, then three
My whole worlds flip, my mind is free
My hands are lined with black and blue veins
Yet my clothes are free from any bloodstains
So now I'm gone, and it's all your fault
It's not abuse, not even assault
Because in your book, you never cared
You'll just take your heart out, and have it repaired
Falling in love is nothing but a joke
Cuz when you try to catch it: it's nothing but smoke
And you're left on the floor, as good as dead
Waiting for your end, just miles ahead
So when you see love ahead, turn the other way
Unless heartbreak is a game you wanna play
Because in the end, trust me you'll lose
But hey, it's your life, you get to choose
