You tell me that I'm your angel in disguise
You come to me for help, care, and advise
You tell me that I'm the sun in your sky
That I make your day even when I don't try
You say that I have a sparkle in my eyes
A burning passion in me that never dies
You tell me that I make you complete
That no girl in this world would even compete
You say a lot of things, hell wrote a whole song
But I can't help but feel that I really don't belong
So take a step in my shoes, see me through my eyes
No sugar coating, no compliments or disguise
I look in the mirror and I criticize
The person looking at me isn't who you fantasize
Look at her face, and what about those eyes
You said I was beautiful. Where they all lies?
I'm an introvert, socially awkward and shy
The kind of girl whose hair would frizz up in July
I'm that girl that shys away from any attention
The sweet, kind one, with the purest intention
I'm that girl who has way too many flaws
A loner, who's lost, without a cause
I'm a nobody in a world of fame
I'm the ashes left; the remainders of a flame
You stopped me before I spoke any more
Telling me my flaws are what you adore
You told me to see me through your eyes
The way I make you feel butterflies
You said when you love someone, their flaws don't exist
Because the deeper you fall, the more you see what you missed
Everything about them becomes mesmerizing
Their laugh, their eyes become beautifully surprising
So if you ever doubt your beauty or worth
See yourself from my eyes; like a re-birth
Because trust in my judgment, trust me when I say
You're beautiful and perfect in every possible way
