circuit is over-wired
and when the shots have been fired
You'll get what you've desired
I'm so empty inside
And this void is becoming wide
It is something I can't hide
Can't fill it, no matter how hard I tried
I feel like I'm about to die
Still feeling the pain from this black eye
The broken arm and stabbed thigh
The broken heart; poisoned blood supply
All I hear is silence
Stemming from your violence
Everlasting pain is timeless
Be a lesson for any defiance
But you manage to smell my fear
You're able to tell when I am near
Knew where I was when I disappear
And re-attack when the cost is clear
All I want is to for this to end
I'm not together; I can't pretend
No matter how many punches you send
My pride and dignity will never bend
Finally, your conscience broke
You kicked me so hard I'm seeing smoke
Blood in my lungs I start to choke
I can't speak; I barely croak
You left me lying on the street
By the place we used to eat
Covered by nothing but a thin sheet
Broken bones and bloody feet
This time, it didn't take long
Soon I was hearing heaven's song
As my soul departed this world of wrong
Never a place I'd want to belong
As my body lays there
I realize that nothing's fair
In a world where no one cares
Who's breathing their last breath of air
