The Yellow Note 📝

One day I was busy, scrolling down on wattpad
Trying to choose a story that wasn't all that bad
Then something caught my eye, on the cover she wrote
The title of her book was called The Yellow Note

It all started when Conor found a note in her locker
How could someone open it?! To her, it was a shocker
She read it, her heart beating as fast as could be
It said something like "your beauty isn't lost on me."

I think at first she thought it was a little weird
Its not like she thought of herself with a beard
But the letter made her feel special; it made her blush
Every time she got one she felt her blood rush

Over the chapters we find out, it was her best friend
She thought that by knowing; their friendship would end
But he loved her too much to ever let her go
And she came to love him more than he'll ever know

Like a happily ever after, they were married in the end
They way he changed her; no one could comprehend
She started seeing herself from this writer's point of view
And she discovered things about herself she that never knew

She saw her beauty right through his eyes
She knew it was sincere; no games or lies
Only then did she realize how special she really is
And that feeling went on until she finally became his

This book changed the way I look at what's around
Perhaps without it, I actually might've drowned
I learned that everyone is beautiful, even if it's hidden
And thinking otherwise should in fact be forbidden

I learned that what you see, is a different point of view
From the person looking from the outside at you
You need to see yourself from someone else's eyes
Because the beauty of yourself is in fact the real prize

I also learned that a small gesture can make someone's day
It could paint rainbows if their skies were grey
It could draw a smile on a tear soaked face
Dry the misery and put ecstasy in its place

Finally, I learned that friends are your right, main wing
The world without them would wouldn't mean a damn thing
Connor's friends helped her on her expedition of discovery
And just reading their story would help anyone's recovery

I would like to thank the author for sharing this story with wattpad

Sadly the book was removed in September
But as for me, I'll forever remember
