Honestly, I've always felt the whole idea that Ash won't fully achieve his dream of becoming a Pokemon master until he wins the league is bullshit. Winning isn't everything, you know. Let's look at some of the things Ash has done throughout his journey.
1. Saved the world multiple times
2. Always puts the needs of his Pokemon first
3. Never gave up on Charizard even when it seemed like Charizard had given up on him
4. Willingly protects and helps all Pokemon, regardless of how well he knows them (ex: when he shielded Hawlucha so Ursaring wouldn't kill him)
5. Takes the time to develop real trust with his Pokemon, rather than only using them for battle
I don't care what anyone says, Ash Ketchum is already a Pokemon master in my book.
