"That movie was so fucking good!" Jesse shouts as we head to the car
"Yeah I actually liked it" I reply
"Will, your opinion matters most, what did you think?" Briana sarcastically asks Will
"Umm yeah, it was cool I guess" Will says
"Just cool, Will wtf why aren't you funny anymore" Briana says
Will kind of just looked off.
Will was a kid of divorce and he hated anything to do with splitting up a family. We had gone to see a new movie call "divorce and conquer", and it brought up some memories Will wasn't to fond of.
"Whatever, I'm gonna go the bathroom real quick" Briana says as she walks away from us
Will hadn't shared much about his family with us, hell, the only reason I know is because he lives right down the street from me and when my parents we're bringing his family some "welcome to the neighborhood" treats we walked into a pretty intense conversation between his parents.
Ring Ring "Oh shit, it's Nic, one sec guys" Jesse says as he quickly grabs his phone
"Nic" or Nicole or as I like to call her "rick" because there was once this bitch that I hated and his name was rick ... also Nicole looks like a guy- anyways ... Nic was Jesse's girlfriend and I cringed at the mention of her name. She seemed like a nice girl and all but, she's wasn't me.
"Hey babe sorry, I was at the movies what's up" Jesse says as he walks away from us
I rolled my eyes as he turned his back.
"What the fuck" I say under my breath
"Really?" Will asks
"What?" I question
"You're still not over him, it's been like a decade" Will emphasizes
"Will-"
"No y/n seriously, we're adults now and at some point to have to realize that this crush is pointless and a waste of your time!"
Will has always hated that I liked Jesse, he often called it a "lost cause". He wasn't trying to be insensitive or anything he just hates the concept of hope and anything to do with believing in change... he'd had his heart broken before.
"Will, fuck off okay! I am over him, mind your own shit!" I scream
I knew how Will was and I knew the way I reacted wasn't going to sit well with him... I just hate it when people try to dictate what I do.
"Wow okay, keep telling yourself that y/n. You're so fucking blind it's ridiculous"
"Wtf are you talking about?" I ask
"You really don't know?" He says
"No Will! Wth are you trying to say!" I yell
I could see Jesse is the distance look back at us and put his finger over his lips. That made me wanna run over there and rip that phone from his grip and burn it- But I have self control, so I didn't ...
"y/n Jess-"
"Hey I'm back bitches what did I miss?" Briana asks skipping back
"Will!" I repeat
He then slightly shakes his head confusing me even more
"What about Jesse?" Briana asks while still being ignored
"William finish your damn sentence!" I yell
"Bitch is this about your fucking crush on Jess? Really babe it's been like a decade" Briana says
The minute she mentioned Jesse, I frozen in anger. Briana and I had talked about this before and agreed to NEVER speak on it again. Jesse was one of my best friends and if he were to find out I had a crush on him, it would ruin everything.
"Hey, guys wtf I was on the phone" Jesse says as he nears us
"Sorry Jes" Briana reply's
"Guys, I think we've had enough for tonight, let's go" Will says
We all nod in agreement and part ways.
