As we walk back everyone's attention diverts away from each other and directly to Lauren and I.
"Are you guys-" Dinah asks before Lauren cuts her off
"Were fine guys" Lauren says
"Where's Ryan?" I ask
"He's over there acting like a sad baby" Jai says
"And by fine, you mean?" Normani questions Lauren as I walk to Ryan
"Shut up mani" Lauren says •
"Hey..." I say as I walk over to him
He was kicking the sand around and pouting. Me knowing about Lauren and him kissing was eating him up inside
"Y/n! I am so sorry I promise nothing happened I swear I would never do something like that to you" He says in one breath
"Ry I know, she told me what happened" I say
"She did! Thank God" He says wrapping his arms around me and holding me in the longest hug I think we've ever had
"Ry maybe you might wanna let go now?" I say
"Nah" He says
"Ok so, what about you two?" He asks finally letting me go
"I don't know... we kissed" I say
"... You trust her?" he asks
"You don't?" I ask him
"I mean, she intentionally walked into my room and tried to kiss me, and then let me believe that she didn't remember it"
"You two were super buddy buddy just a second ago" I say
"I thought she was so wasted that she didn't remember anything" he says. "But that doesn't mean I trust her" he adds
"What does it mean Ry?" I ask
"She's my friend and I love her but... I don't trust her with you y/n" he says
"Ryan it was a drunk mistake. I'm not saying I'm not mad at her and I'm not saying we're getting back together either"
"Ok but-" He says
"HEY GUYS WERE LEAVING AND WE WILL LEAVE YOU'RE ASSES" Jai screams
"I guess it's time to go" Ryan says as we run back to them

Y/n- "The situation with Ryan was a little more complex than I thought. I didn't know the whole story on why he was hesitant to trust Lauren, they had become pretty close friends from what I had seen and he was always team y/sn. But he was hiding something from me, something important."

The car ride back was long and quiet. This night had taken a turn- a good one but, it just didn't seem right. It was a little awkward, no one said a word.
