"Hey guys..." my mom says
Everyone was quiet. I had basically just outed myself with Ruth, Jai, Ryan, All of their parents, Fifth Harmony, our manager, and my parents all present, yay.
I had turned my head to face them and instantly I knew I had fucked up again.
"Great" I laugh as I walk into my dressing room
"Y/n wait-" Lauren says walking over to me
"Don't" I say before closing my dressing room door

"Hey... y/n" I hear as someone knocks on my door
"What." I say
"Honey it's just, it's just me" my mom says as she opens the door
"Mom I really don't want to-"
"No I just... I just wanted to make sure you were alright." She says. "Clearly you guys are having some kind of fight"
"Some kind of fight" I laugh. "Mom you don't have to sugar code anything... the secrets out" I say
"Sugar code What?" She asks
"Me and Lauren?... ugh" I take a deep breath. "I'm bisexual mom" I say.
"Your bisexual" She says
"I'm bisexual" I say
"So bisexual as in-" She says
"As in not straight. Bisexual as in I like boys and girls" I say
"Oh" She says
"Yeah" I say
"So... this thing with Lauren-" she starts
"No. I really don't wanna talk about it mom" I say
"Honey" She says
"No." I say creating an awkward silence
"Babe I just wanna understand you. Talk to me" She says
"Fine... I'm a bisexual female and I know your religion doesn't really allow you to accept people like me but-"
"What?" She says
"Your religion..."
"Honey, my religion tells me to love everyone regardless of who they are"
"I know but you and dad-" I say
"Babe were not some closed minded hypocrites" she says making me laugh
I had always pictured my parents as these super religious evangelicals with a devoted faith to the distorted biblical agenda, I guess I was wrong.
"What I'm trying to say is, we can follow Gods word without having hatred or feeling high enough to implement judgement on those around us. I love you... every piece of you. And I have no place or purpose judging you for being you." She says
