I woke up cold and depressed. All I wanted was to not hurt her, and that's exactly what I ended up doing.
"Hey, can I bunk with you guys tonight? Yeah it's... its complicated... I don't know I just can't be here right now"
I hear Lauren on the phone and it's catches my attention
"Ok thanks, I'll probably come by tonight"
She walks from the bathroom and back into our room when we meet eyes
"Hey..."
She looks at me for a second before responding
"... so I'm gonna room with Normani and her roommate tonight Umm.. Yeah" she says
"Lauren you don't have to-" I start
"Yeah I do." She says
"I'm sorry, don't -" I say
"It's fine ok. I get it and I shouldn't have freaked out on you last night but... y/n we can't be friends" she says
And her words break my heart.
"Lauren I-" I say. I was going to try and fight for her but I soon realized that letting her go was the best way I could ease the pain I caused to her
"What?" She asks
"... nothing" I say

"Hey guys" I say walking up to Ryan, Jai, and Ruth. It was the awards for the trip and we had all sat together.
"Where's Lauren?" Jai asks
"Yeah we saved her a seat and the rest of the girls too" Ruth says
"She not coming..." I say
As I looked at their faces I could see the confusion in their eyes. Everyone except Ryan.
"How did you know?" I ask him
"... we had a group meeting this morning about all the speeches we have to give because you know, we won so many events and well, she seemed kind of off and I just figured that something happened" he says
"Wait what?!?" Jai says. "You guys are done"
"Yeah" I say looking down at my feet
"Are you ok?" Ruth asks me
"... no" I respond

"Once again let's give a round of applause for our champions!" Pricilla says as we all clap for Ryan and his team
The awards show had finished and we were leaving first thing in the morning for LA.
"This month has been a crazy ride but, I'm glad I got to spend it with my family" Ryan says
All the teams got together for dinner and mine and Ryan's team just so happened to sit next to each other
All night I could see Lauren and what my words had done to her and I hated myself for doing it.

After dinner it was late and I was tired as hell. I walked in the room and the sight of Lauren packing her bags to leave instantly woke me up.
"You're leaving already?" I ask
"Yeah... why would I stay?" She says
I didn't have a logical answer so I just stayed quiet. It was awkward as she finished packing her bags. I didn't really know what to do with myself so I just sat there and watched.
Eventually there was a knock at the door. Normani came in and helped Lauren with her bags and they left. Neither of them said a word to me.
