"That was great" Shawn says meeting me off stage. "Are you okay?" He asks
"Yeah I just... I'm okay" I say
"Okay Good because, I may or may not have a surprise waiting for you in you're dressing room" he says
"Shawn I'm really not in the mood for surprises right now" I say
"Trust me, you'll like this one" he says
"What kind of surprise?" I ask
"Why don't you go find out for yourself" he says
"Ugh Fine, But if it's bad you're buying my ice cream" I say

As I walk into my dressing room I look around to find nothing.
"Did he really just lie to me" I say to myself
"No I don't think he did" someone says
"Ahhh!" I scream while punching out my fists
"Whoa! It's me! It's just me!" Lauren yells followed by a laugh
"Oh" I say embarrassed
"... What are you-" I start to say
"Shawn called me. He said today was really important to you and that you want the people that you loved most here" she says
Of course Shawn did something like this. I couldn't help but let a small smile out as I questioned what I did to deserve such amazing people in my life.
"...And you came..." I say looking in her eyes
"When he called I didn't know if I was necessarily one of the people you wanted here but he-" she starts to say
"Of course you are" I say holding back the urge to grab her and never let her go
And She let out a smile. "So, you've been busy I see" she says
"Yeah, I made a whole ass album" I laugh
"And I heard your tv show got renewed" she says
"Yeah we start filming in a couple weeks" I laugh
"That's cool" She says
"Yeah..." I say. "What about you though, aren't you're supposed to be on tour right now?"
"Yeah, I took a small break" she says
"You didn't have to" I say
"I know" she says
"...It's been a while" I say after taking a deep breath
"Yeah, it's been almost a year right?" she says
"I've missed you, we've all missed you" I say
"Yeah... yeah I heard you moved in with Ryan. How's that going?" She says shifting the subject
"It's a mess as expected" I laugh
"I can't even imagine" she laughs
"Lauren." I say
"Y/n." She says
"Stop that!" I laugh
"What?!" She laughs
"...Come here" I say pulling her into a hug
A hug that lasted longer than is should
"Long ass hug" she jokes as she pulls away
"Sorry" I laugh. "I haven't seen you in so long, I almost forgot what hugging you felt like"
"Yeah..." She says staring into my eyes. "I'm sorry"
"It's ok, you're forgiven" I laugh
"... I missed you too you know" she says nudging my arm
"Did you?" I joke
"Yeah just a little bit though" she says
"Hmm" I smile
"So... I heard your song..." she says
"What song?- Oh wait" I laugh
"The one you just sang!" she laughs
"Yeah sorry I guess I lost my train of thought..." I say. "Did you like it?"
"Yeah, I really liked it" she says
"Good because it was about you" I say
"Yeah" she smiles as she looks down. "I figured" she laughs
"Lauren-" I say
"What?" she says
"You can trust me" I say
"I know" she says
"I don't want you to leave again" I say
"Y/n-" she says
"I've spent the past 10 months trying to move on but, no one is you"
"Stop" She says
"You're my home not anyone else, you" I say
"Y/n-" she says
"I love you, I even wrote a whole ass album dedicated to-" I start to say
"God y/n shut up" she says as she grabs my face and presses her lips against mine
"You don't have to give a speech, I'm not going anywhere..." she says lifting her lips from mine and pressing our foreheads together
"I love you too" she whispers
"Promise you won't scare me like that again damn" I laugh
"Fine" she laughs. "....Promise you'll never hurt me again" she whispers
"I promise" I say reconnecting our lips
