...
Rose walked toward lunch detention and was surprised when she saw Allison already sitting there.
"What happened?" Rose asked sitting beside her.
"I fell asleep in French." Allison shrugged. "You?"
"I wasn't in my seat when the bell rang for class." Rose sighed before shooting Mr. Harris a glare and sitting in her seat beside Allison.
"Miss. Hale and Mr. Lahey," Mr. Harris began assigning tasks for detention, "You both will be restocking the janitor's closet."
Allison immediately turned her head toward Rose and smirked deviously. Rose's mouth dropped open slightly at Allison's expression but quickly got up from the desk and followed behind Isaac.
"You're strangely quiet today, aren't you?" Isaac asked mockingly as the two walked into the janitor's closet.
"Oh, yeah I guess," Rose answered, shrugging her shoulder's slightly.
Isaac let out a small chuckle and then asked, "Everything okay?"
Rose placed a few paper towels on the shelf, thinking to herself about Derek and what Aiden had said to her previously.
She whispered, "I hope so."
Isaac frowned slightly at the girl, wondering what could've happened in-between class and now that made her seem so off. But he couldn't think about that for long, for he felt as though the walls were closing in on him.
Rose noticed how he became quiet, but it wasn't a good silence. Rose could hear his heart beat becoming faster and she turned to look at him wearily.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah. I'm just...I'm not a huge fan of small spaces." He answered, his breathing getting deeper.
Rose then recalled of what his father has done to him, and the nightmares that it has given him. His past still affects him today- any small space can trigger a panic attack for him.
Rose didn't reply, instead she just nodded her head and continued on the task, trying to finish quickly so the two of them could get out of there.
"I'm gonna get those twin assholes," Isaac said suddenly, his voice low.
Rose opened her mouth to reply, but then the door suddenly slammed shut. Isaac turned in a panic and rushed toward the door as the lights flicked off. He frantically jiggled the handle.
"No! No, no, no, no..." he mumbled trying to push the door open.
Rose could sense the panic growing, and she only got more nervous because of it.
"Isaac, it's okay. Maybe it's locked from the outside?" Rose suggested.
He pushed his shoulder into the door, and grunted as he spoke, "I think something is pushed against it!"
"Isaac," Rose stated calmly as his fists pounded on the door, and the wood splintering under his fists.
"Isaac!" Rose said again, this time louder.
Isaac ripped off his sweater, and began pacing in small circles. His breathing was erratic as his fingers reached up and pulled against his hair. He was slowly loosing control and Rose knew that nothing good was to come of this.
He continued to bang on the door. And when he turned his head to face Rose, his eyes were glowing gold and his fangs were exposed. Rose stepped back, startled.
