...
Rose walked down the hallways of the school, feeling the eyes of Aiden and Ethan watching her every move. She tried her best to ignore the stares but it was becoming almost overbearing. She was trying to lose them as she continued turning down different hallways, but they were hot on her trail.
Somehow she made her way through the classroom, exiting through Coach's office and walking back out so she was now behind them.
The twins stood in the empty classroom completely confused until they heard a cough from behind them. They abruptly turned around to face an irritated Rose. Though that was the usual expression the girl had on her face, it was more irritated than normal.
"What are you two doing?" Rose asked impatiently.
"We're uh...we're protecting you." Aiden told her.
Rose nodded skeptically narrowing her eyes at the twins. She then asked, "This doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you guys need a pack right?"
Ethan and Aiden looked at each other with completely baffled expressions and scoffed.
"What?"
"No way," Aiden shook his head.
"Yeah no way." Ethan agreed.
Rose continued to stare at them with a blank expression, knowing very well that they were lying.
"Yes, yes it does." Aiden then nodded, knowing very well how good Rose was at seeing through people's lies, especially his.
"Mhm..." Rose nodded in satisfaction, knowing that she was right. She then sighed, "Look, guys, I'm flattered...but I don't need your protection."
"But those domenic ninjas-" Aiden began to argue.
"Already got to me...and I'm fine." Rose interrupted.
Aiden's expression dropped as he pursed his lips in frustration.
"Like I said, I can protect myself." Rose smirked before walking in between the twins.
Her phone then buzzed in her back pocket and she answered, "Hey Allison."
"Rose?" Allison responded, "We're gonna need your help."
"Dear god, what did Isaac do now?"
...
"Guys. This isn't going to work. I look ridiculous. I mean I look like I just stepped out of the last period of a Catholic prep school." Isaac said nervously as he walked out from behind the car in a suit that looked two sizes too big on him. "And there is no way that I'm going be able to remember all this. I mean, what does this even mean? 'Revolving over and under barrels?'" Isaac continued to ramble as Rose walked up to him, Allison and Argent.
Argent sighed trying to calm the boy down and reminded him, "All you have to do is keep them talking long enough to allow us to get inside and find Katashi. He may not be there for the buy in person but he won't be far."
Rose smirked and said to Isaac, "I think you look great."
Isaac dramatically dropped his head, knowing that Rose was being sarcastic.
"Rose, I am sweating, all the way through my jacket. I didn't even know that I could sweat this much."
Rose lightly laughed to herself before grabbing his hand, "Give me a second," she told Argent before they walked away from the two and someone more private.
"Rose, I don't know how I managed to get roped into all of this but I can't do this-"
"You can do this. You're not a boy if you walk in there acting like a man. Okay?" Rose began tucking his dress shirt into his pants. "Go in there with confidence and all they'll see is a boyish looking man." Rose told him.
