...
It was the scream that was heard all across the town of Beacon Hills that woke Rose up.
Derek whipped his head to the direction that the scream was from and knew immediately that it was Lydia. He only prayed that her scream wasn't about Rose's current condition.
Rose slowly began opening her eyes, as the room became clear to her. She let out a forced breath before completely opening her eyes. She felt weak, something was definitely wrong within her but she didn't know what.
She turned to her side, where a nervous and uneasy Derek sat. Derek heard her breathe and turned to look back at Rose. When he noticed her waking up, he immediately sat up and checked on her.
"Derek?"
"Hey, hey, I'm here." He told her standing up to look over her.
Rose let out shaky breath, trying her best not to cry.
"What's happening to me?" She asked.
"I don't know. But I'm not leaving, okay? Not again."
He pressed a kiss to his sister's forehead, despite the bandage wrapped around her head.
Rose gulped, "Where's Cora?"
"I'm right here." Her sister stated from the doorway of the hospital room. She kept a reassuring expression on her face as she walked toward her sister, "Don't worry, Rosie. We're going to figure this out."
Derek nodded in agreement looking from Cora back at Rose.
"We always do."
...
"Hey, anyone want to tell me when they're getting my niece out of her?" Peter shouted out the doorway of Rose's hospital room. His voice boomed over the chaos that was happening from everyone evacuating in the hallway.
Melissa then came in to answer him, "Sorry, but she wasn't, uh..." she paused in shock when she looked up at Peter. "You're supposed to be dead."
Peter awkwardly shrugged, "I get that a lot actually. If you haven't noticed already, us Hales are notorious for always showing up alive." He said gesturing to his niece that everyone had previously thought had died as well.
Rose then gasped and her heart monitor began beeping frantically. She sat up almost immediately and hurled over the side of her bed. Thick black liquid escaped from her mouth.
Once she was done, she looked up to Peter nervously. His eyes widened at her as his head turned to the side nervously. He knew what was happening to her, he just was to afraid to say it aloud.
Peter's phone then rang from his back pocket.
"Derek?"
"How is she?" Derek asked urgently.
"It's not good. She's in and out of consciousness. She's vomiting up black blood along with one other alarming substance."
"Mistletoe."
"How did you know that?" Peter asked but then heard no response.
But then Peter realized that there was a bigger and more powerful problem at hand. He could feel it. They were here: Ethan and Aiden.
...
Derek, Stiles, Scott, and Ms. Blake walked down the flickering hallway. Everything was empty, leaving an eerie feeling in the hospital.
Derek stopped in front of Rose's room and looked confused when he saw that she was no longer in the bed.
His eyes trailed down to the black substance on the floor, most likely from Rose, as he followed it with his eyes.
