"Anyone else think we may be doing more harm than good?"
"Probably," Rose replied as she leant against Stile jeep with her arms crossed.
"Stop being so pessimistic." Stiles said to Rose.
"I'll stop being so pessimistic when you stop being so sarcastic." Rose challenged.
Stiles narrowed his eyes at the girl, while Isaac smirked smugly at Stiles.
"Guys, we're trying to keep a father from killing his own daughter." Scott said, redirecting the group to what was really important right now.
"Actually," Isaac corrected, "We're trying to keep a guy from killing a coyote who is actually his daughter, who we don't know how to change from a coyote back to his daughter."
Stiles then turned his eyes from Rose to Isaac and exclaimed, "And again with the not helping. God, between the both of you, you're going to make everyone feel hopeless."
Rose rolled her eyes at Stiles' being dramatic and said, "I mean he's just stating the facts Stiles. We don't know how to change her back, but that doesn't mean we're not going to try." Rose then turned to Allison and asked, "Did you bring it?"
Allison nodded and quickly grabbed the arrow out of the trunk of her car, a small look of worry was seen in her eyes. Everyone was nervous about this, but Allison seemed to be the most worried. She hasn't had a very accurate shot for weeks now, and she needed an accurate shot more than ever today. To say she felt the pressure was an understatement.
Suddenly, a loud ring of a gunshot was heard from somewhere in the woods. They all jumped at the sound.
"Tate," was all Scott said before jumping onto his bike and driving into the woods.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Stiles screamed after him but it was too late, Scott was too far gone. "You've got to be kidding me."
Isaac then suddenly took off as well, following quickly behind Scott.
"Isaac, no!" Rose then shouted after him, realizing how impulsive he had reacted. She sighed, her face dropping, "Idiot."
She then turned around to Lydia, Stiles, and Allison. Stiles noticed the determination in her face and quickly stepped forward.
"Rose, I know what you're thinking but just wait a second-"
Rose smirked before sprinting off.
"She never listens!" Rose heard from behind her but she kept running.
She dodged trees from to right as she kept running, she kept her scent locked to where Isaac and Scott were heading.
Rose heard another gun shot, but it didn't falter her running. If anything it made her sprint faster. But what she heard next, not only made her stop running, but her heart. Her eyes widened and her stomach dropped with fear and worry.
"Isaac," she whispered before following where his scream in pain was heard.
She sprinted until she saw Isaac hunched over, his body completely tense as his foot was caught in an animal trap.
"Isaac!" She yelled rushing to his side.
"It's-it's alright," he panted, obviously in pain.
"No, no it's not alright. You're hurt." She told him.
A muffled groan came from his mouth as he tried to release his foot, but he couldn't do anything without almost tearing his foot off. He was losing a lot of blood, and his face was paling.
"Okay, okay," Rose whispered looking down at the trap. She knew that Isaac was too weak to pry it open himself, so she knew that she was the only one that could do it. "I'm going to open it, okay? You're going to be alright."
Isaac merely nodded as he continued to pant for air.
Rose tried to steady her hands as she went to grab either side of the trap. She didn't want to hurt him even more, but she needed to get it off of him fast.
Rose let out a groan as she used all her strength to open up the trap. She desperately tried to detach it to set Isaac free, but she didn't want to hurt him.
"I don't want to hurt you," she confessed.
"You won't, Rosie...you won't." Isaac reassured her. "Just-just please get it off."
Rose heard the desperate pleads in his voice and she took another deep breath. She pulled harder this time a growl escaping her lips. Quickly the trap snapped, and Isaac was released. He fell over at the sudden release of pressure and pain on his leg. Rose quickly caught him and pulled him into her arms. The pain decreased in Isaac's leg and he began to heal slowly.
Rose held his face so he was looking directly at her. She then said very sternly, "And this is why we don't impulsively run off into the woods."
Isaac smirked at her, "Sorry, babe."
Rose rolled her eyes, but couldn't hide the smile on her face.
Both of them then snapped their head to the other side woods when they heard a loud roar echoing throughout the woods.
"He did it."
