...
A cool cloth was pressed against the frail girls forehead, her body finally allowing itself to heal after several hours. She had been sleeping as the three men just watched over her in anticipation. Slowly their eyes following how her chest would rise and fall, waiting patiently for her to finally open her eyes.
Deaton sensed the worry that Isaac and Derek had as they stood in the operation room of Deaton's office.
"She's going to be okay," Deaton reassured without either of them needing to ask. "She just needs time to recover."
Isaac shook his head, worrying about something else that has been bothering him.
"No...no it's not just that." Isaac finally spoke up.
This sparked Derek's interest as he was curious in regards to what else could be wrong with Rose.
"Meredith said something about a darkness being inside of her...I'm just scared that-"
"She's not possessed by a dark entity if that's what you're thinking." Derek sighed, knowing exactly what Isaac was talking about.
Isaac turned his head toward Derek, waiting to hear more, waiting for more answers, while Derek and Deaton shared a knowing look.
They both knew that this day would come, they just wished it came with better timing. With everything else that was going on, this was not needed.
"Well what is it?" Isaac asked.
Derek stood up from his seat and walked over to his sister, looking down at her.
"Rose has a different father than Cora, Laura and I had." Derek began, "Though I never knew much about my dad, Rose was never to know about hers. And the hope is that she never finds out."
"Who is he?"
Derek contemplating telling him. He didn't exactly know how much he could trust Isaac. He didn't want Rose to know. Not yet at least.
"For now, all you need to know is that he was a powerful wolf who only used his power for evil." Derek looked over his shoulder at Isaac while he explained it simply to Isaac, before looking back at Rose. "A lot of that power lives within Rose. It makes her strong...but it also created a darkness within her. She hasn't learned how to control it because she's still unaware of it. But it's growing...I can feel it. And the darkness will only get stronger." Derek pressed his hand on her shoulder, worrying for his sister.
Rose inhaled sharply, before opening her eyes. Looking up at the three faces staring down at her, she let out a shaky breath.
She had no memory of what had happened before she ended up here. She was unaware of what time it was or even what day it was. More importantly, she didn't know if it was over.
"Hey Rosie," Derek smiled down at her.
Rose felt the tension in her body relax and mustered up a small smile.
"Is it over? Where is everyone?" Rose asked, nervous for the answer.
"It's not over, but it will be." Isaac answered, sounding confident.
Rose's smile faltered when she began to recall everything that happened the night prior.
"Allison is dead."
Everyone in the room fell silent as well. Rose blinked harshly trying to rid the tears that were brimming her bottom lash line.
Derek pressed a soft kiss to her sister's forehead before saying, "We will be back later, okay?"
