...

The curious girl quietly followed her Uncle through the woods, trying to be as quiet and sneaky as possible. She didn't dare want to get caught, knowing that Peter would tell Talia and then it would only cause more trouble for Rose.

But like always her curiosity would get the best of her and now she was deep within the woods. Something in the back of Rose's mind was telling the girl to stay back, but another was urging her to continue.

And within a blink, she had lost sight of Peter. She was now completely lost within the woods, with no way back. Peter was her source of navigation.

She then felt someone pull on her arm, and turned her around abruptly.

The young girl gasped in fear and met the eyes of an unfamiliar stranger.

"Rose Hale. I've heard much about you."

"Who are you?" The young girl asked, trying to mask her shaky voice with bravery.

"Your mother has never spoken about me before?" The man asked sounding offended.

"No."

"Hmm..." he sighed and then asked Rose, "Now what's a young girl like you doing out in a dark and dangerous woods like this? You are aware of the horrors that can take place in Beacon Hills I presume. You've heard about the hunters, yes?"

Rose nodded.

"It would be shame for one of them to get to you."

"Stop terrorizing her." A voice spoke from behind Rose.

Rose took a breath in relief as she recognized the voice of her mothers.

Rose then turned around and rushed to her mother, grasping onto her arm with protection

Rose then turned around and rushed to her mother, grasping onto her arm with protection.

"I was merely just teasing." The man defended.

"She's only ten, Deucalion."

"Yes, but one day she's going to be more powerful than the both of us." Deucalion spoke to Talia.

"She's still learning."

"Let me help." Deucalion said, his voice was almost devious as he looked down at the frightened girl.

"I don't think that'll be necessary, Deucalion." Talia disagreed before looking down at Rose. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to bring my daughter back home and explain to her why we don't go wandering in the woods alone, especially at this time of night."

...

"You know how the Argent's and the Hale's have always had a history? Well one of the first times Derek saw them, they shot an arrow through someone's neck." Rose stated watching as Stiles grimaced. "But Peter found Derek and the two of them managed to escape to a place in the woods."
