The One With the Forbidden Hero

-The Main Area-

Delta's POV:

We were coming back from quite a chaotic mission. The three managed to get themselves in a point where Leo had to rescue them -ending in Leo injuring his ankle. Zadie called him wimpy multiple times on the way back.

"Easy, easy, easy." Adam cautioned as we carefully stepped out of the hydraloop.

"You know, this would be a lot easier without you saying 'easy' every two seconds." Chase snapped.

"Sorry." Adam apologized as we began helping Leo again, "Careful, careful, careful, careful."

Then, Bob walked in holding a tablet, "Uh-oh. Did Leo blow chunks on the hydraloop again?"

"No, we were on a mission and I hurt my ankle."

"And then he blew chunks on the hydraloop again." Bree added.

"You know the drill, Bob."

"Puke patrol!" Bob shouted excitedly. "I'll grab the mop."

"I've taught him well."

"We were evacuating a safe house when the roof collapsed." Chase started.

"We were pinned down and Leo had to jump over an industrial grinder to save us."

"Come on, buddy. Let's get you to the infirmary and get that leg checked out." Chase motioned.

"Would you quit fussing? I'm a grown man. I don't need you to baby me." Leo walked towards the infirmary on his own, before Tasha turned the corner, "Mommy!"

"What a man." Zadie sarcastically mumbled.

"Oh, we came as soon as you texted me."

"Wait, we?" I clarified.

I got my answer when my mom and Jamie also walked into the main area, talking. "Oh, hey, guys." Jamie smiled.

"No!" Zadie and I both shouted in horror at our mothers being here.

"Yeah, well we were all out to lunch when I got the text from Leo."

Leo started to hobble even more, "I'm not gonna lie. This is a grade-A boo-boo."

"We better get you to your room." Tasha looked around, "Where is your room?"

"Oh, the other side of the island."

"Still can't believe you guys got your own island. For Valentine's Day, all I got was a lousy t-shirt that said, 'I Married Donald'."

"Wait. You guys are married? I just thought you came over a lot."

My mom crossed her arms, scoffing, "Not like I got any better. Dean was out of town so we got to Zoom a nice microwavable Valentine's meal."

Jamie then awkwardly stifled a laugh, "I didn't get anything cause, well, my husband's dead." While the rest of us shared looks, Zadie joined her by nodding. I see where Zadie got her dark humor from even though the two aren't related by blood.

-The Mentor's Quarters-

Zadie's POV:

Delta and I had shown her mom, Jessica, and Jamie around the island and they seemed to be quite impressed. We walked back into the mentor's quarters where Leo was lounging on the couch and Tasha was handing him a glass.

"Ooh, did Tasha make virgin Pina Coladas?" I asked, smiling.

"She does make the best." Leo added.
