-The Main Area-
Delta's POV:

After the six of us had breakfast, we went to the main area to see Douglas scanning the students' necks. "What's up, Douglas? Doing a price check on bionic kids?" Zadie joked, earning playful eye rolls, but no laughs. "Oh, come on," She slapped Chase's arm with the back of her hand, "that was funny."

"Ooh, I wonder how much I'm worth." Adam thought.

"Well, we could sell you for parts and find out." Chase smiled.

"All right. Well, just don't sell the part that does this." Adam punched his brother.

Douglas leaned to the six of us, "I'm just cataloging everyone's bionic abilities."

"Oh, cool, count me in."

"Adam, we already know what your abilities are." I told him.

He gave a goofy smile, "Ah, okay. You got me. I just really like waiting in lines."

"Well, I know who'd enjoy Disney the most." I joked, causing Leo and Zadie to stifles laughs. Adam happily cut to the beginning of the line.

"In addition to the bionics we know they have, Krane also gave them a lot of weird hidden abilities." Douglas explained, "I'm just trying to get a grip on what we're dealing with."

Bree gestured to a student who's hands were red, "What does that guy have?"

"Check it out." Douglas smiled, grabbing an uncooked burger patty on spatula, "Oh, no, my lunch is under-cooked. Oh, Thermo Hands!" Douglas waved the kid over who then cooked the burger within seconds on his hands. "Why, thank you."

"Sweet ability, dude." Adam high-fived him, "Ow, hot, hot hot! Ooh." Adam blew on his hands trying to cool them down, "Hey, those things are dangerous."

Bree crossed her arms, "Try it again, I'm sure they've cooled down."

I rolled my eyes, but to my surprise, Adam didn't do it. "Oh, no. I'm not falling for that. I got her." He nudged the Thermo hands dude...and high-fived, wincing in pain once again.

"Aw, man. Now I really want a cheeseburger."

-The Cafeteria-
Zadie's POV:

I was having lunch with Chase and Bree, talking about different things, when I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. "Hello?" I answered, taking a sip of water. I know it's not good manners to answer a call at the lunch table, but I was hungry and no one can take away my lunch time.

"Mrs. Davenport?" A lady asked, sweetly.

I scrunched my face, "I'm sorry, I think you have me mistaken. This is Zadie Wesley."

"Yes, but isn't it Zadie Davenport? You're Alex Wesley's legal guardian along with your husband, Chase, right?"

I looked to Chase with a blank stare, putting my phone on mute, "Zadie Wesley Davenport? Legal guardian?"

He immediately became uncomfortable, trying to find the words to say. "Uh, Mrs. Davenport? Are you there?" The lady asked.

I rolled my eyes, "Yes, sorry. My husband just had to ask me a question." I seethed.

"Well, I'm sure Alex has failed to inform you that parent-teacher conferences are coming up."

"Is that a requirement?"

"Uh, I guess not?"

I nodded, "Great. Thanks." and hung up. "So, honey, do you wanna pick up the kids from school today, or should I?" I smiled sweetly, but both Chase and Bree could tell that I was clearly aggravated.
