It's been a week. One week with out my mother or father nagging me about how Luke isn't good for me and how I shouldn't hang out with these people. One week that I've been completely free!

We were all sitting in Luke's and my bedroom. Strike was telling these awful jokes and we couldn't help but laugh. But when the doorbell rang, we were all silent. Liz got up and answered it. We listened.

"Are you Liz Hemmigs?" said a deep mans voice.

"Yes, that's me," Liz answered.

"You are under arrest. Along with everyone else in this cabin."

"You thought I wouldn't find you, didn't you, bitch?" I heard my mom say. Crap!

"Window," I whispered to everyone.

"What?" Luke asked.

"Sneak out the window and hide in the woods."

Jesy and Michael carefully and quietly opened the window. They started to help everyone outside.

"But what about my mom?" Luke asked.

"I'll figure something out. I promise."

Calum was the first one out. Then Ashton, Strike, Jesy, and Michael. They all started to walk towards the woods. I made Luke go out first, as part of my plan. Once he was through the window, he turned to help me out.

"Luke, I love you," I said and kissed his cheek.

"I love you too."

He held his arms out so he could help me get through. I shook my head and walked away from the window.

"No," Luke said, grabbing my wrist. "What are you doing?"

"It's part of my plan, Luke. Just go. I promise it's going to work. Please let go."

"No. They already have my mom. I'm not letting them take the other girl that means everything to me."

I got to eye level with him. "Luke, please just go. They are here for me. I promise I will get your mom out of this and back to you. I promise. Just please, let me do this. I have it under control."

"What about you?"

"We may not be able to see each other for a while. But I'm saving your mother first because she's more important."

"You're just as important and I'm not letting you go." His grip on my wrist tightened.

"Luke, your mom is more important and we both know that. I have to do this. Just trust me Luke. It's all going to work. Just please let go."

I stared into his eyes and he stared into mine. I saw tears building up in his eyes, and I knew they were building up in mine.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Luke."

With one last kiss, Luke let go of my wrist. I turned and walked out of the bedroom. At the door, I looked back at the window and saw Luke slowly walking over to everyone else. I turned to walk back to the front door. I heard my mom and Liz arguing.

"There you are! You had us worried sick!" my mom said, approaching me with her arms spread wide. She hugged me, but I didn't hug her back. She gave up and let go of me.

"Let Liz go," I demanded.

"No," my mother said.

I averted my eyes to her.

"Let her go, mother! She had nothing to do with this!"

"She most certainly did. She's the adult here so she had full control of the situation."
