As Luke pulled down our street, I saw my mom storm out of the house with my dad trailing behind her. They were definitely yelling at each other, I just couldn't hear what they were saying.

"I wonder what's going on over there," Luke said as he pulled into his driveway.

"I don't know. And I may not want to know," I replied.

"Lets just go inside."

Luke and I got out of his car and started to walk towards his house. I could hear my parents screaming now. They don't usually scream at each other in public.

"You have no idea what you're talking about!" my mom yelled.

"Yes I do! You just need to listen to me!" my dad screamed back.

"I will not listen to you! You're taking her side! I thought we were supposed to do this parent thing together! Not let our daughter run around and get hurt!"

"Well maybe it's time we give her a little freedom!! We've kept her cooped up in this house her entire life!"

"We gave her a little bit of freedom and she abused it!"

"So what?! Teenagers make mistakes! Don't tell me you never made a mistake when you were one!"

"I'll admit I did make some mistakes! But I got hurt from some of them and I don't want to see Sara getting hurt!"

"She's not going to get hurt!"

"How do you know?! For all we know Luke's just trying to fuck her then he'll be done with her!"

"Luke's good to her!"

"That doesn't mean anything!"

"Yes it does!"

"No it doesn't! When I was in high school one kid was like that to me! As soon as he got what he wanted he was done with me! It hurt and I don't want that to happen to Sara!"

Wait what? My mom had sex with someone in high school?

"That's your life and your experiences! Sara's are different!"

"You know what?! I'm done with you! So done with you! Have fun trying to raise our careless daughter on your own!"

And with that, she hopped in the car and drove off. My dad screamed to himself before he went back inside.

"That was intense," Luke said.

"What if she doesn't come back?" I asked. Worry was clear in my voice.

"She will. Don't worry."

"How do you know?"

He stared at me for a while then turned away. We walked into the house before he said anything more.

"I don't know, actually."

"Luke?"

"Yea?"

"What happened to your father?"

He turned to stare at me with glossy eyes.

"Three years ago, my mom and him got into a huge fight. My two older brothers and I chose sides. I was the only one who chose my mom's side. The three of them left and we haven't heard anything from them since."

He looked down at him feet and just stood there. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He hesitated at first, but then he wrapped his arms around me. He nuzzled his head into my shoulder and I felt tears in his eyes. I rubbed circles into his back.

"I'm sorry Luke."

"Don't be. He was a dick anyway."

"But he's still your father."

We stood there in silence for a little longer.

"Come on, Luke. Lets go up to your room."

I grabbed his hand and pulled him upstairs. I set my bag down on the floor of his room. He did the same. He sat down on the edge of his bed and I sat as close as I could to him. He laced his fingers with mine and I rested my head on his shoulder. He then rested his head on top of mine.

He's never going to leave me, is he? He seems so nice and he seems like he really does love me. Is he really only trying to get in my pants? I sure hope not. I love Luke so much and I never want to lose him. I can't believe my mom made that mistake. I would never do that though.

"It's not true," Luke said.

"What?"

"What your mom said. I'm not trying to have sex with you."

Can he read minds?

"I love you, Sara," he continued. "I really do. I would never do anything like that. I don't want to hurt you. I only want what's best for you. Yea, I may not be the best guy for you because of my past. But that doesn't mean I don't love you. The last thing I think about you, is having sex with you. I would never, ever do that to you so don't think it."

"It's okay, Luke. I didn't think you would ever do that to me. You seem to really, truly love me. I......" I trailed off.

"You what?"

"I never want to lose you. I want you to always be here for me. I want to always be with you and only you. You are my one and only, Luke. I love you."

He turned to me and made me face him. Then he pressed his lips against mine and we shared the most amazing kiss ever.

"I love you too, Sara. I never want to lose you. I will do anything to keep you wit me forever. You mean the world to me. If you left me, I don't know what I'd do with myself. You complete me."

He rested his forehead on mine. I smiled at him.

"Then I guess it's a good thing I don't plan on leaving. You're stuck with me, Luke. Whether you like it or not."

He smiled back at me.

"Trust me. I like it."

"Good."

Our lips connected again. His tongue begged to enter my mouth and I let it. He pulled me onto his lap and I wrapped my hands around his neck. The kiss deepened and the passion grew. We pulled away before it could get any farther.

"I love you, Sara."

"I love you more, Luke."

"I love you the most."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

A smiled played on his lips.

"Fine. Whatever floats your boat, Sara," he said, taking my words from earlier.

"Copy cat," I giggled.

He laughed and laid down on his bed. I laid next to him. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me near him.

"I wish we could stay like this forever. Just be happy in each others arms and not worry about what anyone thought," Luke said.

"Yea. I wish that could happen too."

I buried my head in his chest. I felt his chest move up and down every time he breathed. I could here his heart beating at a nice, steady pace.

The door bell rang and neither of us moved. We heard Liz get up and answer it.

"Where's Sara?" a frantic voice that belonged to my father asked.

"Up stairs in Luke's room. Want me to get her?" Liz replied.

"Please."

We heard Liz walk up the stairs and down the hall.

"Sara, your father's here. He wants to see you," she said in the doorway.

I peeled myself off of Luke and followed her down the hall and stairs. Luke followed closely behind me. I reached the bottom of the stairs and walked towards my dad. He looked like he was ready to cry.

"Dad, what's wrong?" I asked.

"It's your mother. She's been in a car accident. She's badly injured."
