Chapter 10

Narrator: Her eyes began to shut and Jake put her in his car. He drove fast to the nearest hospital and was able to get her situated. He called Nick and told him what was going on. They were still partying. Nick had told everyone and they were on there way to the hospital.
Jake was crying he couldn't believe how bruised up she was. He loved her and never wanted to see her in pain.
Team 10 arrived and stayed by Jake in the waiting area. Tony and Kade were fired up and wanted to beat the guys ass. No one could believe what happened. Logan showed up and hugged his brother. Even though Jake was mad he was thankful he was there.
The doctor came out and wanted to speak with Jake. He told him Erika was ribs were mildly broken but could heal quickly. She was lucky he didn't beat her harder than he did. The doctor gave him the okay for him to go see her. She was laying there on the bed, her face was bruised and she looked pale. He broke down seeing her like that. It took everything in him to not go out and kill Aiden. But Nick was making sure charges would get filed and Aiden would rot in jail.

Hours passed and she still didn't wake up. Jake had sent everyone home to get some rest. He stayed and slept on the couch beside her. He didn't want to leave her side. It was around three in the morning when Erika woke up. Jake got up and walked over to her, he rubbed his hand over her hair.

Erika: Hey
Jake: Hey how are you feeling?
Erika: In pain but I'm managing
Jake: I wish I could stop the pain for you
Erika: Thank you for bringing me here
Jake: No need to thank me, I would do anything for you
Erika: I didn't think Aiden would follow me home
Jake: He will never bother you again, he's going to jail
Erika: You've been here for a while you should go home and rest
Jake: I'm not leaving you
Erika: I'll be okay I want you to rest
Jake: I won't rest if I don't have you in my sight
Erika: I meant what I said

Narrator: He smiled and kissed her lightly. He made a promise to himself. He would change up his act if Erika heals quickly, then He would propose. He knew he couldn't live with out her and he wanted to make sure she was his forever.

1 week later

Narrator: Erika got discharged and was staying at the Team 10 House. Jake and Tessa were taking care of her very well and she felt a lot better. Jake was being very supportive, anything she needed he would do it right away.
Logan and Jake became closer, the incident made them get over their small beef.

Jake had to be up early, he was promoting an upcoming show he was producing so he interviews all day. He got ready and kissed Erika goodbye. She was bored without him so she called Tessa to hang with her. She was feeling very distant from her and wanted to know what was going on with her.

Erika: T, have you been okay? I feel a bit selfish because I haven't asked how you're doing
Tessa: it's okay E, I've been alright. Just trying to keep me distracted
Erika: Do you miss him?
Tessa: I miss the friendship, but he changed. I mean he moved on so quickly
Erika: Guys always handle break ups differently. For us we cry and we mope at first but then we change our look and our attitude and get back to being happy. Meanwhile guys it's the complete opposite they party and sleep around but eventually they become sad and cry.

Narrator: They spent the time chatting and watching movies. But eventually it was time for bed, Jake still wasn't home but Erika was getting tired. She fell asleep and didn't charge her phone.
Jake was at a social gathering and was spotted with the mysterious girl. Paparazzi caught him once again, but this time no one would know how things would turn out.
