Chapter 7

Team 10 House

Narrator: A month had passed since Jake fought Kade. They hadn't seen each other or spoken either. Today all of Team 10 were having a meet and greet pop up shop. This had been planned for a while and it was to celebrate the release of the new Jerika merch. It could not be cancelled, and things were going to get interesting. They were all supposed to meet at the house and go to the location together.
This morning Jake had woke up early, he couldn't sleep. He missed her, he missed her smell, her smile, her body, her laugh. He couldn't deny it anymore.

Nick: Jake! Are you ready? We're leaving
Jake: You should go ahead without me, I'll meet you there.
Nick: If you're trying to avoid Erika, she's not here. She didn't show up. Kade doesn't know where she's at
Jake: No it's not that. Well idk, I miss her and if I see her I wouldn't know how to act
Nick: Today is not the day for this! I need you to pull your shit together. You're going to be in front of fans and the last thing we need is this messy break up to take over. I already talked to Erika too and she agreed to keep things cordial until the event is over
Jake: Fine whatever I'll see you there

Narrator: They all made their way there and soon after Jake arrived. Roads were blocked and there were a lot of fans. Erika still hadn't shown up and Nick was worried. No one knew where she could be. They needed her here in the next 45 mins but she wasn't answering her phone.

Jake: hey nick I'll be back I forgot something
Nick: Jake! No I cannot have the two of you gone
Jake: I'll be back I promise

Narrator: Jake knew exactly where Erika had gone. He got in his car and rushed to get there. It was a little bit of a walk so as soon as he arrived he got out of the car and walked the rest of the way. He kept walking until he saw her staring down at the view of the city. She was in heels and a light rose backless maxi dress. Her hair was curled with a braid on the side. He saw how beautiful she looked and got closer.

Jake: Hey
Erika: what are you doing here?
Jake: Everyone's worried about you, we need you at the event
Erika: and you knew where I would be
Jake: of course I do, I know you so well
Erika: *sighs*
Jake: I miss you
Erika: Don't do that!
Jake: what?
Erika: Play with my emotions, don't lie to me
Jake: I'm not! I miss you, I can't sleep without you on my mind. Everything I do I think of you. I'm still in love with you
Erika: if you're still in love with me you wouldn't have let me go. You wouldn't have accused me of sleeping with Kade. And you would've given me the opportunity to explain why I didn't tell you the truth. But since we're here the reason I didn't tell you, was because I knew how badly it would hurt you. You wouldn't be able to get all the upcoming deals. So much was on the line! I wasn't doing it to protect her, I was doing it for you because the last thing you needed was that to distract you.
After I found out I told her to tell you! Or else I would but then your brother helped me realize if I did you wouldn't be able to be as successful as you are now. Little did I know she was never planning to tell you she lied to me. She found out we were becoming closer and she confronted me outside in the middle of the night. She told me to end things with you, or else she would tell you I wasn't as innocent and make something up. I didn't think she would go through with it. And I didn't think you would believe her, I think that's what broke me the most.
Jake: Erika...I'm so sorry I had no idea. Why..
Erika: Save it, Ive gotten over it. No need to feel sorry. Just move on, I have
Jake:  No! Please we can work this out
Erika: It's too late Jake. I've moved on
Jake: Have you? Then why are you here and not at the event with us..
Erika: I..I needed some space
Jake: Tell me you don't love me anymore. Look me in the eyes and tell me that
Erika: I can't

Narrator: Jake grabs her arm and turns her to face him. Their eyes connected and everything around them felt like it had stopped. He grabs her face and kisses her softly. She tried to push but then gave in. Their kisses turned more passionate. She had tears running down her cheek. But she pushed him off.

Erika: we have to go now
Jake: I just want you to know even if you say you moved on, that kiss told me otherwise and now I will make sure I get you back. I screwed up. I was an asshole to you and I regret that but I will not go down without a fight. I will get you back, I still love you Erika

Narrator: Erika just watched him. She knew he meant what he was saying. He was always very passionate and when he wanted something he would go after it until he got it. But she was still hurt, she couldn't give in easily. They got in their cars and we're heading to the pop up shop. Everyone was glad to see Erika. Everything was going great. They were taking pictures with fans. The Jerika merch has sold out quickly. Fans were chanting for Jerika to kiss and everyone was laughing. Jake took it as a chance to kiss her again. So he did, some of Team 10 looked surprised. But they were all smiles. Jake winked at Erika and she blushed.

2 hours later

Narrator: The event was over and everyone was heading home. Erika got in her car and drove home. She was parking and noticed Jake had followed her home.

Erika: JAKE! What the hell are you following me for?
Jake: I wanted to make sure you got home
Erika: sure you did, ugh come on inside since I know you're not leaving.
Jake: How kind of you *laughs*
Erika: yeah whatever

Narrator: They get inside and Jake begins to admire her place. Everything was clean and furnished nicely.

Jake: You have a nice place
Erika: Thanks
Jake: Do you ever get lonely
Erika: Sometimes, but Tessa and Kade come over a lot.
Jake: I'm sorry
Erika: For?
Jake: Kicking you out, I shouldn't have. It was really low of me. It is half yours anyways
Erika: No biggie. Are you hungry?
Jake: Sure. What do you want?
Erika: I was thinking we can order pizza
Jake: I'm down

Narrator: Things we're still kind of awkward. Their pizza had arrived and they started watching movies on Netflix. Jake kept staring at her during some parts. He thought she was so cute watching the screen.

He wanted to let her know he was really sorry, she was hurt and he knew it. Erika stopped the movie and got up.

Erika: well it's getting late, you should probably head home.
Jake: Erika I know you didn't sleep with Kade
Erika: But yet you were quick to accuse me and even fought him
Jake: I was angry and hurt too
Erika: I wouldn't have done that to you!
Jake: I wasn't thinking straight, when you're angry all you see is red
Erika: I'm sure. I really don't want to hear this anymore
Jake: Yes you need to, I need you to know how I was feeling
Erika: I'm going to my room, you know where the door is
Jake: Erika!

Narrator: He follows her upstairs, Jake wasn't over this conversation but erika was. She tried to tell him to leave but he wouldn't listen. He grabbed her and kissed her. She pushed him off, she was still angry. He got closer and grabbed her waist. He kissed her again but this time she gave in. She wasn't sure what she was doing but she can't deny she missed him too. She took his shirt off and unbuttoned his pants. He undid the lace on her dress and it fell to the floor. He laid her on the bed and kissed her. He kissed her all over. They had sex, it was rough and passionate. She felt relieved keeping all the anger inside. Jake stayed the night with her, he cuddled up with her and kissed her forehead. It was the first night he was able to sleep peacefully. He didn't know how long it would take for them to be okay but one thing he did know is that he would do anything for her.
