Chapter 26

Narrator: Morning had arrived and Erika was up. She looked to her left and Jake wasn't there well not that she was surprised she was still upset. She got up and made the bed, put on her robe and started walking downstairs. She sees Jake sleeping on the couch and continues to walk past him. Even though she was mad she needed to make breakfast for him too.
Jake woke up and smelled the bacon cooking. He walked in the kitchen and hugged Erika from behind. She didn't move and continued to cook.
Jake: Babe?
Erika: ....
Jake: Please don't ignore me, I need to explain and apologize to you.
Erika: I told you to save it, I will talk to you when I feel like it.
Jake: That could take forever, I want you to hear me now.
Erika: I'm busy, please leave.
Jake: No!
Erika: Excuse me?
Jake: I said no! You're going to listen to me, sit down.
Erika: You're out of your mind.
Jake: Yes Joy was there, yes I could've told you as soon as I saw you but I was not thinking straight. I was mad, I told her I was married and showed her my ring. I was leaving and she followed me and as soon as we were outside she kissed me. I pushed her off and got in my car immediately.
Erika: Are you done?
Jake: No! Please believe me..what do I need to do?
Erika: If you would have told me immediately, I wouldn't have to be mad.
Jake: I'm sorry babe, never again. Please forgive me
Erika: Fine! Only because I don't want to sleep alone again and I missed you. But if you ever keep anything from me again you won't be able to step foot in this house.
Jake: Listen to me. I will never keep anything from you again babe.
Narrator: He went over and gave her a big kiss. They ate breakfast together and cuddled up on the couch. Neither one had plans today so it was definitely a lazy day together.

Jake: There's a fair in town, do you want to go?
Erika: I'm down!
Jake: Do you want to invite the crew?
Erika: Sure, why not.
Jake: Alright let's go get ready

Narrator: They both quickly got ready and walked next door to find the crew. Most of them were in the living room.
After they arrived they pretty much caught everyone up and were out the door on their way to the fair. They went to the entrance and they were swarmed by fans but they had security with them.
Jake wanted to play every game and get Erika something but she insisted he give it to the fans and so they did.
Erika mainly wanted to get on the rides and the first one they went on was the Ferris wheel. They had a nice view up there and took the time to talk. Jake was feeling vulnerable and opened up.
Jake: Babe I need to tell you something.
Erika: Oh ok?
Jake: Please listen first and then you can speak.
Erika: Fine just tell me already
Jake: I've been feeling down and the reason why is because Logan and I were talking and he believes I rushed getting married to you. I've been trying to ignore it but the thoughts keep coming back to me.
Erika: How long has this been on your mind?
Jake: A week.
Erika: A week?
Jake: Yeah..
Erika: Well do you agree with him?
Jake: I'm not sure
Erika: I would be lying if I said that I'm not hurt right now. I think you need to think on you're own and decide for yourself.
Jake: I'm sorry I can't give you an answer but the last thing I want is to hurt you or even hide anything from you again.
Erika: Thats fine Jake. I'm not mad, I don't want to pressure you or force you. But I will tell you I'm staying at the Team 10 house until you're ready or if you're ready.
Jake: No stay home with me, I do feel like you're mad if you go.
Erika: I'm sorry but I need to. You need your space and honestly maybe I need some too.

Narrator: The ride was over, and Erika was ready to go home. They met everyone by the cars and got in.
On the drive back Jake was silent feeling like an idiot how could he let his feelings and mind get manipulated. What was Logan's true intentions for doing that? He not only hurt his wife but she wants some space away from him too? Sure he's not the most romantic guy and he doesn't know how to express his feelings well but he does love her more than life itself.
They arrived home and Erika went to pack a suitcase. She had already told Nick she would be staying with them but no one else knew. In fact she didn't feel the need to tell them, sometimes the whole team doesn't need to be involved. It's her business and her life.
She left her house without saying bye to Jake and went next door. She walked and went upstairs with Nick and settled in Jake's old room. Everything was still the same in there which was nice but she added some things to make it seem more like her style.

Meanwhile Jake stayed in the gym the whole time while Erika had packed her stuff. She had made her mind up and he wasn't going to change it that easily at least not today.
After his workout he texted the boys to come over and hang out. And they were there in 10 minutes. It was just what he needed to distract himself. Doing stupid shit with the boys was always the best way to forget about his problems. And after a few hours it was getting close to midnight. Tony and Chance said goodnight but Kade stayed behind.

Kade: You told her right?
Jake: *sighs* Yeah..
Kade: Look I know you're disappointed but trust me you opened up to her and you were honest. That's the best thing you could've done
Jake: But I feel like shit for hurting her. You should have seen the sadness in her eyes when I told her.
Kade: Truth hurts we know this but during this time apart you need to think do you want to stay married or not.
Jake: I hate talking about my feelings bro.
Kade: I got your back man, goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow!
Jake: Yeah..night.

Narrator: He went upstairs to his room and started to get ready for bed. He later down and stared at her side. Two nights in a row without her sleeping next to him. He frowned because he didn't like this at all. And yet again he wondered what we're Logan's intentions?
He couldn't understand that part and got angry trying to figure it out. He knew he needed to go see his brother and get some answers. Times like these he wishes his mom lived close by she would know what to say in these situations. He sighed and closed his eyes to sleep, he had a big day tomorrow and he planned on making sure his wife would be back in his arms.
