Chapter 4

Erika: *laughs nervously* what do you mean? What did you hear
Tessa: Tony told me he wanted to go beat a guy because he hurt you
Erika: Well.. yes but Jake was there to help me get away from him. He punched him and we left. The next day I noticed a bruise on my wrist and the boys freaked out
Tessa: Omg E! I'm sorry that happened to you but grateful Jake was there to save you.
Erika: yeah me too
Narrator: Erika felt relieved hearing what Tessa knew. They continued to shop and went home after an hour. Everyone was outside by the pool. She went upstairs and saw Jake taking a nap. She closed the door locked it and got in bed with him.
Jake: Hey you're back finally
Erika: yeah how did it go
Jake: great, I'm just tired
Erika: Aw okay I'll let you nap and you can tell me about it later
Jake: no stay please
Erika: I would but I have to go put the stuff I bought away
Jake: did you get a nice outfit?
Erika: yeah I bought a few, can't wait to wear them
Jake: be ready by 7, wear something nice and casual
Erika: But..
Jake: Bye beautiful see you then
Narrator: Erika smiles and goes downstairs. She didn't realize Kade was waving at her and went into her room.
Kade: Erika! I need your help
Erika: sorry, what were you saying?
Kade: I was just saying I need your help
Erika: Sure with what?
Kade: I need advice on taking a girl on a date. If it was your first date, where would you want to go?
Erika: Honestly something fun, I would like to go bowling or roller skating. Step out of your comfort zone
Kade: that's a good idea, thanks Rik!
Erika: no problem, let me know how it goes

Narrator: Erika finished putting her stuff away and saw the time. She did her make up and curled her hair. She chose to put a black crop top with ripped jeans, a jean jacket and ankle boots.
She stepped out and waited for Jake, he smiled at her. He wore a black long sleeve shirt, jeans and gray shoes.
As soon as they were leaving, Nick stopped them
Nick: where you guys going?
Jake: we're going to dinner
Nick: can I join?
Chance & Anthony: Yeah us too
Narrator: Jake begins to panic and agrees
Jake: sure you can meet us there, Erika and I need to do something first and we'll see you there.

Narrator: he quickly grabbed Erika and walked out before they even had the chance to ask anything else. They got in the Tesla and laughed.
Jake: We really need to learn how to hide this better.
Erika: I know, I'm sure Tony is already suspicious of us. Where are we going anyways?
Jake: it's a surprise. I know you hate surprises but I just want you to enjoy tonight
Erika: hmm... okay fine. Well whatever it is I'm sure I will. You're such a great friend

Narrator: "Friend" Jake's smile faded away, he didn't like their arrangement let alone being called a friend. It's been months since they began their arrangement and he thought by now she would change the way she felt about him.

Erika: Jake? You okay
Jake: yeah why wouldn't I be
Erika: you got really quiet
Jake: nah I'm fine. We're here cmon

Narrator: they arrived at a bowling alley. Erika's face lit up, she turned to look at him and he smiled back. They stepped out of the car and went to the entrance. She couldn't contain her excitement and gave him a big hug.

Erika: I haven't been bowling in a few years
Jake: let's see how good you are
Erika: I'm a bit rusty but let's go

Narrator: They got their shoes and went to their lane. Erika could not stop smiling and went first. She missed two pins and now it was Jake's turn. He missed completely and she laughed. They kept going and Erika was in the lead by a few points. Jake wanted to take a break and get some food. He went to the food bar and ordered two cokes and a plate of nachos and wings.

Jake: are you having fun?
Erika: yes! This was a great surprise, I'm glad you brought me here.
Jake: Me too, I wasn't sure if you would even agree to come

Narrator: Jake reached over and grabbed her hand, as he was talking Erika giggled since he had some cheese on the corner of his mouth. She got closer and wiped it off, they stared in each other's eyes and kissed. Suddenly lights began flashing and Jake looks over. A guy with a camera was taking pictures, he quickly got up and confronted him.
