Chapter 5

Erika: Say something!
Jake: Erika will you be my girlfriend?
Erika: is this a joke? You heard Nick!
Jake: I know and I don't care! Nick is just worried about the business, he doesn't care how I feel or what I want. I feel like I've shown you these past months how much you mean to me.
Erika: Jake..I care about you and I really like you. But it's forbidden
Jake: I have one last thing to do before you answer, if after this your answer is no and you really don't want to be with me then I will not bother you again and move on.

Narrator: Jake leaves the room and Erika stays silent. She sits on her bed and stares at the wall. Meanwhile Jake is ready to make his statement and goes to the office.

Jake: I'm ready Nick
Nick: Jake you have another 15 minutes, I suggest you use it
Jake: I don't care, I said I am ready. Make the call

Narrator: Nick gets on the phone, after 10 minutes it was Jake's turn to speak

Reporter: Jake what are your comments regarding the paparazzi who claimed you tried to bribe him?
Jake: Well, it's true I wanted to get the photos because I felt my privacy was being invaded. I would do anything to protect others around me and that's exactly what I was doing.
Reporter: who is the girl in the photo?

Narrator: Nick stares at Jake and begins to mouth "be smart" Jake nods and proceeds to answer

Jake: Well she's actually...someone I have been with for months. Her names Erika. We've kept it private but I think we're ready to let the public know. I really care about her, we work great together and like each other. I actually hope to take things to the next level with her and make her mine.
Reporter: You work together?
Jake: Yeah, she's my assistant. Actually more than that, she helped me start Team 10. I wouldn't be where I'm at if I didn't have her.
Reporter: This is a modern romance! That is amazing, it's hard to find someone as special as she sounds! Jake we wish you and Erika nothing but the best. Thanks so much for speaking with us!
Jake: Thank you for having me, and the well wishes! It was my pleasure

Narrator: Jake gets off the phone and Nick is furious. He doesn't even know where to begin but he is angry.

Nick: Jake what the bloody hell was that!
Jake: That was me being truthful and not caring what anyone thinks for once

Narrator: Jake walks out and goes to his room. He felt like he needed air so he changes after his shower and goes to his car. He drives to Malibu and parks his car. He knew the beach would help him clear his head. He then got a text about his phone interview being posted online. He put his phone away and watched the view. Now the world knows about Erika, he has moved on from Alissa and he couldn't be happier.

9 hours later

Team 10 House
6 PM

Narrator: Jake walks in and everyone rushes over to him. They were all worried, especially Erika. She was upstairs in his room crying her eyes out. She was thinking the worst and what if something happened to him.

Nick: Jake I'm sorry for what I said and how I reacted. You are right
Jake: I appreciate that
Nick: Don't ever scare us like that again please
Tony: Love you bro, never forget
Chance: Without you the trio would never be the same
Jake: Love you both too. Where's Erika?
Tessa: Locked in your room, she won't come out. We've tried

Narrator: He runs upstairs and knocks. She doesn't answer. He puts in the code and walks in. She's on the balcony facing the back yard. He gets closer and says her name

Jake: Erika
Erika: Yes! The answer is yes

Narrator: He gets happy and picks her up. They kiss and hug. He finally felt like things were going right for him. Nothing can take away his happiness at this point
