Chapter 37

Narrator: The time had passed and by now Erika's belly had grown. She was now 8 months pregnant going on 9 in 2 days. She was having a baby boy. She was so excited she always wanted her first child to be a boy.
Mackenzie has now moved in with her to help her out, they had become such great friends.

Today she had no plans but stay around the house. The doctor had ordered her not to travel or do anything drastic. But.....tonight Team 10 would be having a huge beach party and a lot of people were invited. It would be the last time she would get to have some time to really enjoy herself before she would be on mommy duty.

She got dressed and packed her bag. They were all heading to Malibu at the beach house Krista had rented. Kade, Mackenzie and Erika arrived before the rest of the squad. They looked at the view and saw the caterers setting everything up outside. It was beautiful and the beach was very relaxing for her.

It was now the afternoon and the rest of Team 10 had arrived as well as some guests. Soon after more and more people were arriving.

Erika was already having the best time that is until she heard a familiar voice. The voice she hadn't heard in a long time. She didn't dare to look up, there was no need.

Jake had walked in with Kevin, he immediately saw her. His attention was just on her, she looked beautiful. Kade was right, she does have a glow.
He shook his and went the other way.
He sat down on the other side of the table and talked with Chad and Chance who were talking about pranks they had in mind.
Erika had her head down, her mood changed and Mackenzie noticed.

Mackenzie: Hey, don't let him bring you down ok?
Erika: It's hard Mack, it's been months... he looks good.
Mackenzie: I know love, but you don't need to stress or become sad. Remember Dr's orders were to remain calm at all times.
Erika: Yeah I guess you're right.

Christian: SO TEAM 10 DECIDES TO HAVE A HUGE PARTY BUT DOESN'T INVITE THE HOTTEST BACHELOR?

Narrator: Kade and Tony immediately got up. Kade stood in front of Erika to shield her as Tony was ready to confront him.

Tony: You need to leave, you're not welcomed here.
Christian: Why? Why is everyone so protective of that bitch? Oh.. wow what a sight! You're pregnant?! Poor bastard
Tony: Watch your mouth!
Christian: Easy tough guy, are you fucking her too?
Narrator: Jake quickly got up. He had been waiting to see this man again.

Jake: What the fuck are you doing here man? Can't you hear, you're not welcomed!
Christian: Aww my best friend Jake, give me a hug. I'm sorry man
Jake: FUCK YOU
Christian: I'm trying to be nice but I guess I hit a nerve
Jake: IVE BEEN HOPING TO SEE YOU SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS

Narrator: Jake ran over and lunged at him. They began fighting, punches were being thrown. Jake had him pinned on the ground and started beating his face badly. All the anger built up inside of him was being released. Tony tried to pull him off with the help of Chance but it was too late. The police had arrived and saw how beaten Christian was. They grabbed Jake and arrested him. Erika was so in shock she didn't realize her water broke. Kade rushes her to the car with Nick and Mackenzie while everyone stayed behind to control the madness. Tony went with Kevin and called David to meet him at the station.

Erika arrived to the hospital and was immediately taken to the delivery room. Since she was delivering early they had to treat her as a high risk patient. The time was coming and she was ready to get the baby out of her, Mackenzie went in with her as did Kade and Nick but they refused to see what was happening down there.

Many screams and tears filled the room and an hour later her son had arrived. She was in tears of happiness. She felt this little guy in her tummy and now he was in her arms. Kade took a photo and sent it to the group chat, which had everyone excited to meet the new addition to the family.

Meanwhile Jake was booked and placed in a cell on his own. David was there trying to negotiate his bail but they said he could not be released. They would be charging him with attempted murder since Christian was at the hospital fighting for his life. They did allow them to go see Jake.

Tony: Bro! What the fuck is wrong with you!
Jake: I've been waiting to kick his ass, I don't care that I'm in here.
Tony: But your son! He just arrived..
Jake: Wait, Erika had the baby? Well I don't fucking care, he's not mine!
Tony: LOOK AT THE PHOTO
Jake: Until I see a DNA test that says he is mine I don't fucking care.
David: We can arrange that but for now you have to stay here for the next few days until a judge sees you. I'm doing everything I can.
Jake: Fine by me, I don't care.

Narrator: They said goodbye and left Jake. Tony drove them to the hospital to see Erika.
Her room was filled with flowers and gifts for her and the baby.
The nurse had walked in and it was time to pick a name. She looked at her family as most of nodded at her.

Nurse: So what's the little prince's name Ms. Costell?
Erika: His name is... Jaxon Cole Paul.

Kade: I love it!
Mackenzie: Jax for short, I'm in love

David: Erika congrats again but is there anyway since were here now to get a dna test?
Erika: Why?
Tony: Rik... he needs to know. He's out of control, I'm not saying you have to forgive him but this would shut him up.
Erika: Fine..

Narrator: The nurse came back and took a swab of Jax's saliva. She put it in a bag and took it with her. David had arranged for Jake's to be taken as well. They would know the result by tomorrow morning.
Erika didn't care she was so over the moon happy with her baby. Nothing else mattered in that moment as she looked down at him.
