After dinner was finished everyone but Rebecca and Luke, surprise surprise, helped cleaned up. Jake was in the living room doodling in one of the sketchbooks I had bought him to keep him busy and enjoy.
"Hey Jake, get your stuff ve have to go" I said as i finished drying my hand from the dishes. Jake looked up at me sort of sad before getting up
"Ok" He said.
"I don't know how long you'll be gone, but mom and I will probably be gone before you get back so we may as well give you a hug" Aunt Marcy said as I turned and gave her and Grandma Purdy a hug
"It was wonderful seeing you again, dinner was amazing" Grandma Purdy said. I chucked
"Vell I couldn't do it vithout you" I said as I broke the hug as Mr and Mrs. Johnson walked up
"Thank you for inviting us, it's so good seeing you again" Mrs. Johnson said with a smile as she hugged me
"And don't be a stranger either you can visit us whenever you like. Both you and Juniper" Mr. Johnson said. I smiled
"I'll try. You ready Jake? " I asked as Jake looked at me
"Yes"
"Give every one a hug" I said. He nodded and walked on, carrying a bag of markers colored pencils and crayons as he hugged everyone "I'll be back. Don't burn the house down"
"No promises" Jackie, Aries, and Juniper said at the same time. I chuckled and shook my head as I headed outside. Walking to my car I switched out Jared's car seat and put it in Junipers car before putting Jake's booster seat in the back. As soon as I finished Jake ran out and climbed in his seat.
"Do you need help ? " I asked as I watched him struggle a bit with the seat belt
"No I got it, I'm a big boy I can do it myself" He said. I smiled and shut the door before walking to the drivers seat and got in. As soon as Jake finished I pulled out and headed to the address Aunt Marcy gave me. The ride was silent for a few minutes and I looked in the rear view mirror to see Jake coloring but a sad look on his face
"You ok buddy? " I asked as I stopped at a red light. Jake looked up at me sadly
" I don't want to go to daddy's " He said sadly " I don't like it over there. I want to stay with you and grandma and mommy"
"Vhy don't you vant to go to daddy's? " I asked
"James is mean to me all the time and daddy doesn't do anything about it he's to busy with his girlfriend to do anything. And his girlfriend is really mean to me" Jake said.
"And you didn't tell mommy? "
"Daddy told me not to or I would be in big trouble, I'm not supposed to tell anyone"
"How mean is daddy's girlfriend? "
"She gets me in trouble all the time and blames things on me. She yells at me and hits me too and she lies about me" Jake said
"I'm sorry buddy. I'll see vhat I can do and maybe you can stay vith me until Ashley gets back"
"Yayyy. Can you turn on the music please? " He asked
"Of course, vhat do you vant to listen to? County, rap-"
"Rock. I don't like country or rap" He said. I looked at him and grinned
"That I could do. Rock buddy"
"Rock buddies for life" He said happily as I turned on the radio, Enter Sandman by Metallica blaring through the speakers. Jake head banged as I sang along before we finally pulled up to a medium two story house with gray walls, bushes lining the front. In a way it reminded me of our old house
"Vell here we are" I said as I parked the car in a practically bare drive way. I got out as Jake unbuckled himself and got out before grabbing my hand as we walked up to the green wood painted door. I knocked on the door as Jake gripped my hand tighter
All the sudden the door opened and a medium height man with tan skin, gray eyes, and black going gray. He had a mean look to his thin almost wire framed body and a beard was starting to form on his weak chin.
He wore a raiders jersey and a pair of shorts. He looked at me before he looked at Jake
"Who the hell are you? " He asked, his voice rough
"I'm Anubis, Jakes Cousin" I said
"So you're the one he loves better then me. What are you doing here? Where is his mom? " He asked
"She vasnt feeling vell so I offered to drop him off" I answered. He looked back down at jake
"What the hell is he wearing? " He asked glaring at the dark blue button down jake was wearing like he had never seen dress clothes
"Dress clothes. Im assuming you've seen them before"
"Whatever. Let's go Jake" He said "it's time for you to go to bed"
"Can Anubis tuck me ? " Jake asked with pleading eyes
"No now let's go" His dad said, sort of forcefully. I bent down and looked at Jake
"Hey, just go inside and get ready for bed ok. I'll see you soon ok, have fun and behave" I said softly. He looked at me and smiled before he hugged me
"Ok Anubis. I love you" He said before kissing my cheek and running inside. I was completely stunned, the two well now three years that I've known him he never said that too me. I couldn't help but smile as I got up, Jake was a adorable kid, he was so sweet. I got up carefully as I smiled as his dad glared at me
"Is there a problem? " I asked as I cocked an eyebrow
"Why does my son even love you? " He asked, sneering
"Oh I don't know, maybe it's because I don't treat him like crap" I said sassily
"I don't treat my son like crap " He snapped
"Vell if you do it to vomen you also end up inflicting it on your kids. Let's just call it intuition and this is the only varning I am giving you, if you do anything to that boy, and I mean anything to hurt him, I'm coming after you. And trust me you're going to vish that you hadn't done anything, pregnant or not" I growled
"Like I'm going to listen to some girl who is to young and stupid to know anything about anything" He snapped back
"I'm a lot smarter then I look, you don't vant to piss me off. I can be your vorst nightmare" I said back before I turned around and headed towards my car. I slammed the door shut, by accident, and headed home. That guy was a total dick and he didn't have to say much. It was one of those things that you could see, besides his cocky personality. It took all my strength not to slap him
And normally I didn't slap people for no reason either, but he literally made me want to slap him when I heard an interesting comment on the radio
"So, I don't know if you all watched it but, Anubis Purdy appeared on the Ellen Show a while back and she made a comment on how rap isn't the new rock and it won't be and Kanye West wasn't a rock star. This is what Kanye had to say, and also tweeted, @ AnubisPurdy doesn't know how to keep her nose out of other people's drama and needs to learn to that her opinion doesn't matter. rock music is dying out, it was never good in the first place, and rap is replacing it. She's nothing but a dirty whore looking for attention she knows nothing about
"That was the end of the quote, well tweet or should say, But he keeps pointing Anubis out, as if he's hoping to get a reactor out of her, but you want to know something Anubis, and she would agree with me on this, is right rap and rock are two totally different genres with different meanings and rock has impacted thousands, bringing people together. And on top of that Anubis has knowledge on rock because she is a very popular rock star herself she knows more then Kanye ever will in this area. And to point out something else when he called Anubis a dirty whore what was he thinking? Anubis had been engaged to her high school sweet heart and only boyfriend for two years before they got married, she's surrounded by a loving family and fans that she helps personally, and she's about to have kids, twins, on the way. How does that sound like a dirty whore too you?
"Now I've met Anubis personally in many occasions. She's smart, loyal, caring. She's even told me herself that she could care less what you thought about her and what you said to her because she doesn't get involved with all this petty crap that's usually associated with rap and pop, all the drama wars, so the fact that Kanye is trying to call her out is stupid and pointless because she's not going to answer. In her exact words, and I quote, 'call me what you want, say what you want about me, insult me. I don't care and you know why? Because your opinion doesn't matter to me, it doesn't affect my life at all if you don't like how I am then give somewhere else it's as simple as that. At the end of the day I'm me and that's who I'll always be'
"So we'll have more on the topic later, In like five minutes or so. Anubis if you're just so happening to be listening to this their are people out here who will support you and agree with you and we wish you the best of luck with whatever your doing. " The guy on the radio said. I shook my head as a grin formed on my face
"Isn't that the truth" I mumbled under my breath. The guy was right what Kanye, stupidly, tweeted about was pretty much going nowhere and what he was trying to accomplish failed. I hated people like that so much, it was the reason I didn't really have a lot of patience.(?)
But I was going to leave it alone. This tweet wasn't worth it at all and neither was Kanye and he was going to find out that I simply don't give a fuck what he called me out on because I wasn't going to say anything but it did make my blood boil. Finally I got home and walked in, the only people left was Jackie, Aries, and Juniper. Oh that's nice, don't say bye to our sister or anything I thought
"Did Luke and them already leave?" I asked as I sat down on the bar stool
"Yea. Luke said something about an exam coming up and they had to be back at the University" Aries said as she scrolled through the pictures on her camera
"By the vay I vant those thanksgiving pictures" I said. Aries nodded her head
"Of course. Do you know if Ashley has anymore clothes to model? "
"None yet"
"Damn I was hoping to get a chance to use my camera again" Aries pouted
"Try taking sone of the bar maybe" I suggested. She looked at me, thinking for a minute before grinning
"That's a good idea" Aries said. I chuckled as I heard a clink of glasses. I looked up to see Jackie with Ashley's stash of liquor he hid from everyone
"Vhat are you doing? " I asked as Jackie looked at me innocently
"Getting a drink duh. Don't you know? You can't hide the liquor from me man, I find that shit like all the drugs I own. Theirs no point in hiding it" Jackie replied as she poured herself a glass of whiskey.
"Oh Jackie. If Ashley asks vhere has drink vent I am blaming it on you" I chide
"Hey, Jake left his Jacket here" Juniper said as she got off the couch and went to throw away a dirty diaper.
"That's his jacket for here vhen he forgets them at his moms or vhere ever he's at" I replied. I grabbed my phone as I felt it buzz. I checked the Instagram notification to see it was one of Ashley's cute but rare Instagram posts. He was in front of Das Brandenburg Tur with the German flag flying proud above it, there was snow just starting to fall which had a light layer of snow on the ground. My heart melted as I smiled at the caption.
'I'm at my baby girl's, @AnubisPurdy, home country. I wish she was here though I miss my little translator and fun buddy. This isn't as fun as when she's here. But on another note Happy Thanksgiving! You want to know what I'm thankful for? I'm thankful for my beautiful, smart, strong, independent, sarcastic wife and the family we are about to start I couldn't get anymore luckier then I already am I've got the most amazing family and friends around new and I want to give a huge thank you to Germany for giving me the best wife and soon to be mom a guy can ask for in the whole damn universe, so thank you again Deutschland. I hope everyone one of you had a great thanksgiving. And baby girl I miss you so much, I'm counting down the days until I can see you again, only three more months

"So how do we want to spend the rest of thanksgiving? seeing everyone left" Juniper asked
"I think I have a few board games in my trunk" Aries said
"You just carry board games in your trunk randomly? " I asked
"Hey at least she's prepared ok" Jackie said back sassily as she took a sip of her drink "I mean we could aways play Russian Roulette"
"Oh no no no no, we are not going to play that" Juniper said quickly, her eyes going wide
"Awww mannnnn I was really looking forward to it" Jackie pouted as Aries got up and walked out to get the games
"Ve could always play hang man, I know vhere to get a body" I said jokingly
"Hell yeah, then what are we waiting for? Let's go get the body" Juniper said wide eyed as she adjusted Jared in her arms
"Ve can't Aries is already outside getting the board games" I said just as Aries walked in
"What did I do this time? " She asked as she sat cross legged on the ground with us setting the stack of games down to the side
"You had to go get the damn board games so we can't play hangman with a real body" Juniper pouted playfully
"Hey, I'll happily put these up I could play some hangman right now" Aries added. We all laughed
"So what have you got in store for us today? " Jackie asked. Aries sighed and shifted through the pile
"Candy land, shoots and latter's, monopoly, clue, battleship, life, uno, war, go fish, dominos it's pretty much what ever" Aries said shrugging
"I'm fine vith vhatever you guys vant to do" I said as I leaned back some, placing my hand on my stomach gently
"Thanks that's so much help" Juniper said sarcastically
"Ohhh let's play life" Jackie said as she grabbed the board, "it's the only place that I can be rich and get what I want"
"Oh Jackie" Aries said chuckling
"What? " Jackie asked grinning as Aries started the set up the board
"So Anubis what are we doing for Christmas? " Juniper asked as she set up her car. I shrugged
"Hey you're asking the vrong person. I don't mind if ve do Christmas here but like i said I don't know vho is going to be here and vho is coming over" I said as Jackie spun
"We can have a Christmas party" Aries suggested "so everyone can spend Christmas with each other and their families"
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea" Juniper stated
"I'll bring the eggnog and that's most likely going to be filled with rum" Jackie sad grinning wildly
"Jackie no" Juniper and I said at the same time
"Jackie yes. You can't stop the great and mighty Jackie" Jackie said wildly as she held her glass up in the air
