"THEY'RE HERE!" SOMEONE ANNOUNCED as soon as we arrived at the photoshoot location at least twenty minutes late because Hunter had to release some tension first before we left the apartment. After all, I didn't want him to arrive with a boner. It would have definitely been scandalous.
"I can't believe you forced me to remove my collar," Hunter whispers to me, making me sigh because he has been complaining about that ever since we left.
"What did you want me to do? Tell them you had some sort of kink?" I answer back as Hunter and I finally stop in front of the staff who has been waiting for us to arrive.
"Sorry, we're late. It was a bit difficult to grab a cab," I explain as I gently push Hunter toward the makeup team.
"It's fine," one of them says before looking at Hunter. "Shall we head to the tent and get you ready?" She then asks, and Hunter nods his head and followed them so he could finally get ready for the shoot. As soon as Hunter was taken, I sighed in relief and turned to join the other staff, but just as I was about to do so, a man appears in front of me, and a frown instantly appears on my face.
"Mr. Peters!" I say, startled to see him.
"Good morning Mr. McCartney. I'm surprised you're late. It's not like you," he comments, and I faked a smile as I explained, "Well, you see I was-" But before I could even finish my sentence, Mr. Peter raises a hand, instantly making me stop. And now I remember why I hated this man. Not only is he arrogant just because he became the head of the photography department, but he also makes unnecessary comments too.
Mr. Peters is two years my senior, so when I first started working in the company, I ended up working for him a couple of times. He was the type to act like he was a friendly guy that everyone in the office liked, but in fact, everyone just finds him obnoxious. He would also bother the girls, slap my ass for fun, and would even publicly humiliate me by asking questions about my sexuality, telling me things like I dressed like a man even though I obviously am still one. Just because I'm gay, doesn't mean I have to wear glitter. For someone who works in the entertainment industry, this guy is really out here living in the 60s.
"Don't worry, I should be the one to apologize. I know you're busy, but I still chose such an inconvenient location," he says, and I just faked a smile, telling him it was fine since it was my fault that we were late.
"By the way, I was surprised to see that you came with Mr. Noah Price. I didn't know you were already acquainted with him," Mr. Peters then says, making me take a deep breath because I wasn't expecting him to bring it up.
"Oh, no, we just met at the company. Ms. Valentina asked me to take care of him for the project so I'm just doing my job," I explained.
"Really? But that's not what I heard from someone at the advertising department," Mr. Peters then revealed, making me remember that employee who I met outside the company when Hunter first got the job.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but as someone who works for the company, I don't think it's wise for you to be engaging in rumors that might potentially damage the image of our new model," I seriously explain to him with the most professional voice I could make.
Mr. Peters became flustered, but he laughs it off and suddenly hits my shoulder like we were the best of friends.
"Oh come on now Mr. McCartney, I was just joking around," he says, even though I know that he's only saying that now because I called him out for it. "Anyway, I'll leave you first and check on the set. When Mr. Noah is done with his makeup and wardrobe, I'll introduce you two to the photographer."
