I LOOKED OUT OF the car window that I was in. Neilson, who just came back from the court, drove me back to my apartment after meeting up with me yesterday. I stayed at the hospital for at least one more week before finally being released. I was fully recovered, but there was now a scar on the side of my stomach that will forever be a reminder of what happened that day. But despite this scar, Damien's letter was still much more painful than any wound.

"Day..." Neilson suddenly called out, making me blink and look back at him. "I've been calling you."

     "I'm sorry, what is it?"

Neilson stares at me from the rearview mirror and takes a deep breath. "Day, are you sure you're okay?" he asks, and I faked a smile and nodded my head in answer. "Don't worry about me, but what were you saying?"

Neilson knew that I was lying, but he tried not to force me into opening it up as he says instead, "Jonathan and Christine are doing everything they can to help Hunter. They're looking through every small detail that will help him so he wouldn't be sent to prison, so don't think too much about it, okay?"

I didn't reply and just nodded my head for the second time before looking out of the window again. Neilson might have noticed that I've been down after receiving that letter. I appreciate that he's giving me updates, but I think it's much better if I stop thinking about it for now.

"Neilson," I called out, making him look back at me again.

     "What is it?"

"Can we visit my family first before heading to my apartment?" I then asked him, and Neilson gives me a small smile before nodding his head. "Alright. Lead me the way."

After giving Neilson the directions to where my parents are buried, we directly went there so I could pay my respects.

I knew that my parents died in an accident, but I didn't remember much. But just recently, I remembered how I said goodbye to them for the last time. My mother and father left for the hospital to check on the baby. I was supposed to come with them because I had a check-up too, but it ended up raining really hard so I was asked to stay behind.

I remembered getting so mad because I really wanted to go with them, but after a few hours, they didn't return. Uncle Hael came to our house instead and stayed there with me for a couple of days. I asked him what had happened to my parents, but he couldn't answer me. A few days after, he finally told me the truth.

At that time I was young, but I knew exactly what my uncle meant yet I didn't want to believe him. I ran out of the rain and tried to follow them, and that's when my memories ended.

But at the same time, that's where everything else began.

"Here we are," Neilson says as he parks the car beside the pavement. he heads out and then opens the door for me, showing me his hand so he could assist me.

    "Thank you."

"Would you like me to accompany you?" He then asks.

"It's fine. I would like to be alone."

     "Alright. I'll just wait here."

I smiled at Neilson and walked my way to my parent's grave with a heavy heart.

I wasn't the best son. Unlike my uncle, I rarely visited them. It's not because I didn't want to, but because they felt more like strangers to me, which could probably mean why I never really thought that 728 was related to their deaths.
