"FOR HIS FINAL YEAR as a companion, let me proudly present to you all...the chairman of the Companion's Association...Hunter!"

The crowd cheers as a man walk to the stage with a bright smile on his face, waving at everyone like he was a real celebrity. Everyone was screaming his name, but as I looked at him, I couldn't help but swallow this lump in my throat that has kept me from saying a word.

     Last year as a companion.

The Chairman of the Companion's Association.

This was what Jonathan wanted me to know, yet those words just didn't add up. I couldn't wrap my head around it. I couldn't put those words together as if they were puzzle pieces that had different sizes. For a moment I thought I was going to faint.

"Hunter! Hunter!" The audience repeatedly cheered.

The man was wearing a red suit that matched his mask. He had that confident look on his face and a grin that made him look like he knew exactly what the crowd wanted. But despite the mask, those cold blue eyes were too familiar. They're the same pair of eyes that I've been dreaming of for weeks.

     This was definitely Hunter.

I wasn't seeing things, nor did I hear them wrong. The man who was said to be the chairman of this entire association was none other than the man I have been with for about two months now.

This was the man that I love.

"Good evening, master and mistresses. And welcome to Companion's Association," Hunter finally greets when he got on stage, making everyone stop cheering so they could hear him better. All the other companions stood behind Hunter while Hunter stood in front of them with dominance, showing his superiority above everyone else.

"It is my honor to once again hold such an amazing event thanks to all the masters who've been loyal to us since the very beginning," Hunter starts. "I have been a companion for fourteen years. I am the oldest and the most experienced one yet. I have mentored most of the new generation of companions, and I am completely proud to have left such a great legacy," he then adds, and everyone starts clapping for him.

This bitch just said fourteen years so casually. He's been fourteen years as a companion, so before I adopted him, he has been with other owners. Oh dear god, I don't know how to take all that in. Of course, I respect his choice of doing this for a living. I understand the hustle, but at the same time, it still feels completely strange to me.

How many men and women had he taken care of before me? Did he sleep in bed with them? Did he shower with them? Did he hold them like how he'd hold me?

But other than that, there's also the fact that he's the fucking chairman of this whole thing. He was the big dog, the boss. But if that was the case, why is he being cautious? Why is the association after him?

What does my uncle have to do with all this?

What do I have to do with all this?!

     Nothing is making sense!

"Each year, new masters would come and new companions would get adopted. New experiences would be made, and most importantly, new relationships would be established. Some come to us for pleasure, some for emotional support, and some are just hoping to find the right company to who they can casually talk. This is the pride of our association. This is what we're striving to become," Hunter explains right after, and the crowd claps for him again.
