A WEEK HAS PASSED since Hunter and I finally declared our love for each other, or in layman's terms, we fucked. I know when I put it that way, it sounds a bit overly romantic, but that's just the way it is. The two of us didn't meet each other in the most conventional way, but that's what made our story more interesting, and I believe that that's what made my love for him grow to such a rapid extent.

"Damien!" I called out, my eyes closed so the shampoo wouldn't get to my eyes.

No one answered, but then someone turns the shower on, and I immediately washed the suds off my hair and my face. While I was doing so, the man behind me suddenly leans close to my ear, grabbing my waist and pulling me back so our bodies could touch.

"Why in such a hurry babe? Don't you wanna play around more?" Hunter—who is actually named Damien—suddenly whispers in my ear before gently kissing the nape of my neck.

I elbowed Hunter in frustration, and Hunter finally lets go of me before stepping out of the shower so he could put on some clothes.

My relationship with Hunter didn't exactly change, but it felt more secure. There are still a few things that we're not able to talk about, like how he knows my uncle and how he's known me before I even met Todd, but these things are something that Hunter will eventually talk about with me as soon as he's ready. I'm not going to force him to do it since I trust that there will be a time when he'll tell me everything.

But other than the fact that I found out that Hunter loved me not because it was his job to love me, I also found out what his real name is. I guess Hunter is just his dog name if that makes any sense. But even though his real name is Damien, Hunter told me to refrain from calling him that name in public. I only call him that when I'm mad, or when we're flirting or having sex. It's such a sexy name after all.

Things between us happened a little too fast though. I've only known him for two months now, but I already feel extremely attached to him. It's probably because we share a past together too.

"Dane, you're heading to the company today, right?" Hunter asks while wearing his pants.

I turned the shower off and grabbed my towel to dry myself with it. I then walked towards the sink and grabbed a dryer to dry my hair. "I am since we're launching your magazine tomorrow," I answer with a louder tone so he could hear me over the dryer.

When Hunter was finally done wearing clothes, he stood beside me and stared at his reflection in the mirror, holding his cheeks before saying, "Should I shave my beard? I think it's getting too long."

"I think it's fine to trim it a little," I honestly say, putting the hair dryer down to look at him. "You look hot with it. It brings out your sex appeal."

"Really?" Hunter asks back, obviously happy about my comment because he wouldn't stop smiling now. "Then should I let it grow till it reaches the floor?" He then says, making me laugh.

     "Idiot."

After brushing my hair, I put on my clothes too and looked at myself in the mirror to check if I looked okay. While I was adjusting my coat, Hunter goes in front of me and puts my necktie around my collar so he could tie it for me.

"Once the magazine is published, you'll quit the company, right?" I asked as Hunter continues to tie my necktie in complete concentration.

"That's the plan," he casually answers before looking back at me. "Why? You don't want me to go? If you don't want me to then I'll stay."
