"Uh huh, he wasn't from here for sure, seemed like a Parisian to me, tall and had these blue eyes..." the man squinted, trying to remember, his bushy eyebrows shadowing his eyes, "But why are you asking?"
Suddenly, the bell near the entrance of the door rung.
"Bonjour!" Marcus's familiar chirpy voice reached Renée's ears. She quickly slammed a note of ten euros onto the counter before rushing towards the door, almost shouldering Marcus.
"Hey! At least take the change!" the employee shouted. But Renée ran as fast she could, praying against prayer that Marcus didn't recognize her.
