Noah was in the hospital for a few days, he had been transferred to the cancer ward. Reneé had never have imagined that she would get so attached to a person she had spent barely a day with, yet the worry weighed her heart. Maybe it was Noah's unique magic, maybe it didn't make sense but he was the only person that mattered to her in that moment. She wanted him to be back to the excited aura he had, she wanted to hear the same hearty laugh, to see the same blue eyes twinkling with mischief.
Reneé had thought that after everything she had gone through, she had become distant, careless and heartless. But the way her eyes watered at the sight of his tiny body laying on the white sheets, the way she had an urge to scream out loud at his condition told her otherwise.
She did care, she cared too much for her own good.
She didn't want to care, as love and care destroy you.
