Renée's mind blurred with agony and confusion. Why did she pop the balloon in the first place? It was obviously a note for someone, and now she had ruined the chance of that person reading it. Why did she have to meddle in other people's affairs? Couldn't she just mind her own business?

It brought back a memory of her last fight with her ex-best friend, Chloé.

"Can't you just mind your own freaking business, Renée?" Chloé said flailing her arms in irritation.

"Chloé, try to understand me! I did it for you, otherwise the teacher would've failed you for your low attendance this year" Renée said trying to convince her.

"But you should've asked me first! Now I'm going to get into much bigger trouble if they find out that I was in soccer practice and science class!"

"I'm sorry, I thought that you were..." she started in a small voice only to be interrupted.

"NO! My parents are going to ground me I don't know how many weeks now! You ruined everything Renée!" she said as she ran her hands through her hair, frustrated by the situation.

Renée kept quiet, she knew how strict her parents could get.
