When Renée was seventeen, Nathan's tool shop was going through a hard time, there was no money for inventory. He worked till late and tried to keep the shop open 24/7 in hopes of more customers. He hardly spent time with anybody as he stressed about he was going to provide for the family.
Renée couldn't see him like this, it hurt her at how he sulked in his room, refusing to eat, bags under his eyes. At such a time, she needed to step up. There was money in her bank saved up from her childhood, for her university, the Accademia Italiana, the best university for Photography and New Media. She gave the money to Nathan. He had always been there for her, this was the least she could do. Nathan refused to take it, he refused to put her future at risk for the shop, but they both knew it was the only choice left. She convinced him that she could get a scholarship, she was willing to take the risk.
Little did she know that this risk would cost her everything.
