The morning after the reunion party, Reneé went downstairs to check if her mother was alright. She wanted to apologize, to cry and ask for her mother's forgiveness. She wanted to talk to her brother like old times. She wanted to watch tv shows with her grandma like she used to after she returned from school. She wanted to do so much, yet one look of their expressions at breakfast, Reneé knew she should shut up.

Adalie had a bandage on her forehead, and her eyes were puffy, she must have cried; Reneé made her mother cry. Reneé had caused her to bleed. She had hurt her mentally and physcially. They didn't so much as glance at her, coldness emanating from her body languages. They were discussing about a political leader, totally ignoring her presence. Reneé awkwardly tried to busy herself with making a toast. What else did she expect, were they supposed to wish her good morning with a cake? She deserved their coldness and so much more. Reneé wished she could run away and kill herself right at that moment.

But she had to wait, she had to make her disappearance look as normal as it could get. It was the least she could do for them.
