chapter 4 - jeez

Louis P.O.V

I smiled as my mom set the food out "I'm glad you could come over mum" she smiled and kissed my cheek "of course, besides.. lord knows Beau needs some home cooked meals" I pouted "hey... I cook..". Beau giggled "not very good though daddy" I gasped and put a hand over my heart, "wow.. that hurt" she laughed as she sat at the table. We all sat down together as I made Beau's plate and then one for myself. We all started eating after we prayed and my mum smiled at Beau "so sweetie tell me about this job you're doing, I know your dad said you got the lead role for a music video?" she swallowed her food and nodded excitedly. "Its so cool, I play the younger girl version of Harry" I smiled softly at his name, he really was very good looking..  "Harry, hes the singer right?" I nodded along with Beau as I took a bite of the mashed potatoes my mom made. "yes and he is super funny and a prince.. I think he likes daddy" I choked on my water a little and looked at my mum and tried to hide the blush on my face. "Beau.. why would you think that" I said with a chuckle, she giggled "because he never asked any other parent to come to set to talk ,duh... silly daddy". I shook my head "no sweetie.. he was just being nice because you're the lead" I looked at my mum and she had a small smirk on her face and I shrugged and said softly "what mum..". she looked at Beau and then me "nothing Lou... you're just blushing" I didn't realize how hot my face felt until she said something and I put my face in my hand "Beau tell grandma that daddy is fine.." she snorted "I'm not supposed to lie". I fake glared at her "you are too young to be teasing your father" she giggled "I'm almost 10 dad!". we finished the rest of dinner talking about random things. thankfully, I was able to avoid the fact that my mum now thinks I have a crush on a famous singer. I dont have a crush on him, jeez. 

Beau went upstairs to get ready for bed and I was doing dishes with my mum sitting at the table "so you gonna talk to me about this Harry singer" I rolled my eyes a little as I loaded the last dish in the wash and turned around as I dried my hands "mum I've had one conversation with the man... and he was just being nice since Beau is the main actress.. I just think hes really hot. but so do about 100 million other girls and guys" she laughed softly "okay okay, just saying... Beau did say you're the only parent he asked to talk to" I hung the drying towel up and sat down "yeah well shes only 9 she isn't fully aware of whats happening mum... besides I'm sure hes already spoken to other parents there" . she shrugged "just saying you haven't dated anyone in almost a year and a half..." I smiled and held her hand "mum... I'm fine okay? really. I'm happy with work.. I make good money and I have you, the girls and Beau" she smiled and patted my hand "thats great Lou...  a mother just wants to see her son happy" I nodded "I am".

I slowly shut Beau's door, I just finished reading her a story and she was asleep. I walked downstairs and to the laundry room to wash some of Beaus clothes. I sighed softly as I loaded some clothes in. I was thinking about what my mom said and what I said. I am happy, I truly am.. but I admit I can get lonely.. it would just be nice to have someone to share moments with and have romantic evenings with. but there hasn't been anyone who loves me and my daughter. people just dont want to sign up for a family, you know? thats why I never get my hopes up if I think someone is cute. I just admire from afar... besides. I need to focus on Beau, its about her not me.

-next morning

I was standing by the stage as Beau was in the dressing room changing out of her costume, they filmed half of the video today and they filmed the parts with all the kids first and they all went home and she filmed her scene about fifteen minutes ago. I was texting Niall because he was telling me about when filming is over all the parents and kids get to see the final cut on Friday "Louis hi" I looked up from my phone to see Harry smiling at me. I smiled "Harry hi... um so what did you want to talk about with Beau?" I said putting my phone in my pocket "oh just about how amazing she's doing.. really, she is such a natural and very good with taking direction" I smiled "wow thank you, yeah she really loves being an actress" I smiled softly and looked at his face... he  is fucking gorgeous. "yeah she loves having you pick her up, she talk about you a lot" I smiled softly "yeah she and I are close.. just me and her" he smiled and nodded "well.. she is very lucky to have such a good father.. she is very sweet. and she is too cute" he chuckled and I smiled tilting my head "why the chuckle" he shook his head and smiled "nothing she just is adorable, she keeps asking for me to ask you out.." I felt my cheeks heat up and I laughed awkwardly "haha...what.. she's so, silly" he chuckled and smiled softly at me. His dimples prominent and his eyes bright "well I actually did want to know if I could take you and Beau out to dinner after filming tomorrow, since its the last day and Beau was such a main part of this whole project" I smiled softly "yeah I'm sure Beau would love that". "daddy!" I smiled as Beau ran up to us and hugged my side .She smiled up at Harry "do we get to throw the food tomorrow" he chuckled and winked "you bet" she chuckled and looked up at me "Harry has asked us to dinner tomorrow... is that okay with you?" I asked her and she squealed "YAY can we go to Nandos". I looked at Harry and chuckled and he smiled "Niall's her manager right?" I nodded and he nodded "of course" we both laughed and I smiled, his laugh is really cute. "great so tomorrow after filming I can have my car pick you both up and we can all go to Nandos, my treat" I smiled "okay... great.. um do you need my number to get my address or anything?" he chuckled and nodded "yeah thats a good idea". He handed me his phone and I typed in my info and handed it back to him and he smiled at Beau "Beau you did amazing today, get ready for tomorrow" she laughed "Oh I am!" he laughed and high fived her. "okay well we should get going" Beau hugged Harry and held my hand and I smiled at him "Bye" he nodded "bye, I will see you both tomorrow" I nodded and waved as I walked out with Beau. as we were leaving I glanced back at him and he was still looking at me and I felt a small blush creep on my cheeks and I smiled softly before walking out. I went to the car with Beau and climbed in... I was actually really excited about tomorrow night. But just because I know Beau deserves to celebrate, shes worked hard and Harry wants to reward her.

Harry's P.O.V

I climbed in the car, after making sure all the cupcakes were ready for tomorrow and the puppies. I leaned back in the car, I never thought I would take a childs advice.
