My Neighbor Matt Espinosa

Chapter 1

I felt terrible when I had to explain to Anna why I was moving. Anna has been my best friend since second grade and now I had to move all the way to Virginia. I explained how my dad got a new job opportunity and I had to leave to go to Virginia in two weeks. When I finished telling her this she was really quiet and had tears in her eyes. But knowing her, she always pointed out the bright side, so she said, "Virginia? You know who lives there right..." Of course I did.

Matthew Espinosa. I've been a fan of him forever and he and a bunch of other viners are in this thing called magcon. I like them all, but Matt's always been my favorite. "Matt" I said with a smile. "But seriously I didn't even ask my parents where in Virginia we are moving, and I doubt that I would ever get lucky enough to just bump into him on the street."

"Yeah. But if you do... Ask him about Nash!"

"Yeah yeah." I said shoving her. Nash was her favorite magcon boy.

"Soooo. Um." The tears were back in her eyes now. "I'll visit you every chance I get." She said, smiling slightly.

"You better!" I said and we both laughed, hugging each other.

~two weeks later~

I watched my house fade away into the distance while I rode in the back seat of my parents' car. I just said my goodbyes to Anna moments ago and am very emotional right now. There's only a few weeks left of school so I don't understand why I can't just finish school with Anna, but I guess if my dad didn't accept it right away he probably wouldn't have gotten it. But seriously that's not such a bad thing...

We pull up to our new house Thursday morning (we didn't have school Thursday and Friday for some teacher thing so we left Wednesday night) and we start carrying things in. As I'm carrying in a box, I see someone playing basketball at the house next door. He has his hair spiked up in the front. He looks over at me and smiles.

He reminds me of... No it couldn't be. But from a distance he looks kinda like Matt Espinosa... Or maybe I'm just imagining it. probably.
