My Neighbor Matt Espinosa

Chapter 3

~next morning~

I Wake up at six in the morning for school. I get in the shower and get dressed. I'm wearing my red magcon hoodie with black leggings and red vans. I blow dry my hair and put it in a messy bun. Then I put on eyeliner and mascara and eat breakfast.

I'm so nervous for today. Being the new kid in school isn't very fun. I don't know what to expect. How people will treat me. I'm going to have to make new friends. Hopefully Anna and I will still stay in touch though. I'm pretty sure we will.

I'm really close to the school, so I just walk. I get there and find my first class. It's not a bad school. It's actually pretty nice. The class wasn't very exciting, but I met a girl named Lexie who is nice.

All of my other classes were pretty much the same. I meet a few more people who would make good friends along the day too. I get to my last class and sit at a desk in the back. I'm getting my stuff out that I need when someone walks in the room. It's matt I swear. It's him. I stop what I'm doing and I'm just staring at him, speechless.

He walks over and sits down right next to me. ME!!! He sets down his stuff and says "hey. Nice hoodie. So you're new here?"

I struggle to find my words, but when I finally do, I say "thanks. And yeah. I just moved here a few days ago."

"Yeah. I think I saw you. You moved in next door to me I think."

"Yeah I wasn't sure if that was you or not."

He laughs. "So you're a fan of magcon?"

"Definitely!"

"Oh really? So who's your favorite?"

"You of course!" I say but then kind of regret it as my cheeks turn red.

He laughs at my embarrassment. "Hey you don't need to be embarrassed! I think it's pretty obvious that I'm the best..."

I laugh at that. "Of course. It's the truth!"

"Hell yeah it is!" He holds his hand up to high five me. I have a mental freak out and then high five him back.

Oh. My. God. Matt Espinosa just high fived me. He touched my hand. I had a conversation with him. He sat down right next to me! Anna was right! He's my neighbor.
