Chapter 39

"Wow matt, how'd you get such a beautiful girl to date you?" says cameron.

Cameron!

As in cameron DALLAS!

"Oh my god.." I say.

I can't believe this.

"What? is my hair messed up?" asks cameron.

I laugh. "No! I just can't believe I'm facetiming the cameron dallas!"

"And I can't believe I'm facetiming such a beautiful girl" he says with a smile. "Or the fact that matt actually got a girlfriend!"

We both laugh and matt just crosses his arms.

"Okay, okay." Matt says and turns the phone back to face him. "I think you can stop flirting with my girlfriend now cameron."

I laugh and cameron argues with matt for a little while until they hang up. Then matt asks, "are you done unpacking?"

"Yeah almost."

"Okay. Well wanna go do something when you're done?"

"Sure" I say. "Like what?"

"Welllll.. I was thinking something simple and fun."

"Like..." I urge him to go on.

"Maybe we could go penny boarding or something."

"Yeah that sounds fun. Where to?"

"Wherever you want I don't really care."

I laugh. "Okay whatever.."

I finish unpacking and grab my penny board. Then I go to Matt's room and ask if he's ready.

"Ready?"

"Yep" he says and turns off his phone, which he was just on, and stands up.

We walk to the front door and I follow him outside.

My penny board is mint green with light purple wheels and I absolutely love it. I have on my Mickey Mouse crop top and black high waisted shorts from earlier with some red vans. I have my phone and some money in my back pocket too because I know where I wanna go...

"Ok so where to?" matt asks.

I smile and say, "Starbucks!!!"

"Okay.. whatever you white girl."

I roll my eyes. "Oh you know you love Starbucks just as much as me so come on" I say and take off.

The breeze on my face feels so good in the summer heat. I'm just cruising along when matt passes me and yells "beat ya there!"

I smile and yell, "oh it's on!!" and speed up.

I catch up to him a few minutes later and we're almost there when I pass him.

I get off and yell, "OHHH in your face!"

He just shakes his head and laughs. "You're so childish."

"And you love it." I say and walk inside.

"That is correct." I hear him say behind me which makes me smile some more.

I get in line and order my drink, but before I can pay, matt does.

Then we go outside and sit on a bench and I say, "Maaaaatttttttttt."

"What?" he asks.

"You didn't have to pay for my drink. You always do. I have money it's really okay to let me pay for my own stuff sometimes." I say.

"Well you beat me, so it's the least I could do." He says.

"Whatever you goofball. But next time I'm paying okay?"

"We'll see.."

I just roll my eyes and take another drink of my mocha cookie crumble frappuccino. It's my favorite drink right now, so I get it all the time.

"So when do we leave for magcon?" I ask.

"A week."

"What?! I need to go shopping! I'm not ready for Cali!" I yell.

Matt laughs and says, "girl probs..."

We talk for a while after that about how excited we are for Cali magcon, then decide to leave finally.

When we get back to his house, we decide to watch some movies.

"OHMYGOD WE SHOULD WATCH THE INSIDIOUS MOVIES!!" I yell when I see them on the shelf where they keep the movies.

Matt agrees and puts the first one in. I've seen this movie several times, and it doesn't scare me, but I can't help but jump at the part where the demon is right behind Josh's mom even though I know it's coming. It's almost that part....

Ohmygod it's coming...

Wait for it....

BAM! I jump up so high and matt just laughs at me.

"Shut the fuck up!" I say and elbow him in the side.

"Oww!" he says rubbing his side.

"Don't make fun of me gosh" I say but end up laughing at myself too.

Once we're done with the second one, we decide to go to bed. I get my pajamas on and am about to climb into bed, when matt knocks on my door.

"Hey, so since it's your first night, and we watched scary movies... I don't want you to be scared. Do you, um want me to sleep with you? for your sake, not mine. I'm not scared." He says and laughs nervously.

I raise my eyebrows and laugh. "So basically you're scared and wanna sleep with me to make you feel better?"

"...Yes... but let's go with the way I said it. It makes me seem more manly." He says and I just laugh again.

"Yes matt, you're sooo manly."

Note sarcasm.

I love this loser.

Matt gets into the bed with me and puts his arms around me. It feels so right, so perfect.

Within minutes I fall asleep, thinking about how much fun Cali will be.

HALLELUJAH PRAISE THE LORD JESUS I UPDATED!!!

Ok so you probably don't wanna hear my excuses, so I'll keep it short. I've just been so busy lately, I have almost no free time. It really sucks, but I should be able to update more often soon.

I'll really really try to update at LEAST every week or two. Ik two is a lot but it's probably the best I can do rn.

And I PROMISE I won't leave you guys hanging this long again. I truly am sorry guys.

And sorry if this chapter doesn't really make that much sense bc I wrote this over a span of 2 weeks so yeah.. :/
