I sat at my desk, staring at the screen before me, and found I was unable to focus on the days work ahead of me. The weekend I had shared with Nevaeh consumed my mind, and all I desired was to go back to that night we had shared and relive it with her over and over again. The very thought that she was now my fiancée brought me more happiness than I could have ever known.

I had only one fear in the past two weeks that had passed since our blissful night together, and that was the lurking presence of her ex following our every move where ever we went. There was a major part of me wanting to approach him and make him back off, threatening that I would report him to the police if he did not cease stalking Nevaeh, and yet I could never find the right moment to do so while she was with me.

I was fearing for her safety each and everyday that I couldn't be with her, especially whenever she had to work. I was calling her every now and then to check up on her in order to make sure she was safe, but not too much that would cause her to worry.

I knew that it was wrong of me to keep her in the dark, I just didn't know how to tell her about what I was seeing with her ex without causing her excessive worry and stress. I had been contemplating over the last two days to let her know about my fears and of her ex stalking her, and decided when I would arrive home that night I would speak with her.

I had to make sure she was aware of him, and urge her to keep an close eye in regards to her surroundings and of whether he was following her. I glanced at the time and saw that it was one thirty, and decided to stop to have lunch and call Nevaeh.

I took my wallet and mobile out from the desk draw, quickly putting my wallet into my jacket pocket as I rose from the chair, and turned to my work colleague beside me and informed him I was going to lunch. He simply nodded his head in reply, barley glancing at me as I typed in my four digit code on my mobile to unlock it, and saw that there was a missed call from Nevaeh, with a message informing me that she had left a voice message.

For some untold reason fear overcame me, and I quickly dialled the number to replay her voice message. I heard the automated voice inform me that the message had been left at ten thirty six this morning, and I became deathly still as I heard her voice through my mobile.

" Cael, look I know that you have made me promise to not go anywhere alone, and I'm sorry to break my promise to you right now, but I have to go back to my apartment to collect some very important documents. Trust me, I will be safe. No harm will come to me. I will get what I need and return straight home. Do not worry, although I know once you receive this you probably will. but don't. I shall see you later tonight. I miss you and Cael........ I love you."

My heart began to pound in my chest once I had heard her message and fear engulfed me instantly, causing me to breath deeply and rapidly, knowing that right in that moment I was having a severe panic attack.

I speed dialled Nevaeh's number within seconds, and only grew more fearful as I heard each ring sound. Pick up Nevaeh, pick up. I thought to myself in a wild panic, and when I heard her voice recording sound telling me that she couldn't get to the phone and to leave a message, I let out a growl of panic and frustration. I let the beep tone and left her a message in return.

" Nevaeh, call me back instantly, I am worried about you, especially now that you are not answering your mobile. Call me straight away, as soon as you get this and let me know that you are safe." I said, and quickly ended the call.

" Shit, oh fuck." I said, harshly to myself making the work colleague beside me look up at me with a worried expression. I knew due to my fear that I was probably jumping to conclusions when it came to Nevaeh's safety, but my panic was so intense it became hard to remain calm.
