The air was warming this time. Elspeth guessed it was the "spring", as she remembered Macrae calling it. Elspeth buried her toes in that warm sand, enjoying that warmth the fire in the sky brought. How she loved the land.
Elspeth just stood there, eyes closed, until she heard someone coming. She looked, and there she was. Red hair, dotted skin, fire. "Eldur," she whispered.
Macrae was much taller now, much fuller, much more beautiful. Elspeth found she could not move. Breathing, even, was difficult.
