Having no way to get there herself, Macrae asked as much as she could of the place where Elspeth lived as they walked to where she did. Elspeth described an entire nation carved into fjallgarðurinn, which Macrae eventually translated were underwater mountains. Elspeth lived with her mother, but spent much more time with her village's elder in her home.

Elspeth was sparing with the details. She kept slipping back into her native language and just couldn't seem to come up with the words to properly describe what she was thinking.

Macrae found it very charming.
