Summer looked at the plane ticket on her lap. She still couldn't believe in a few hours, she would be on a plane for the first time in her entire life. She was really excited... until last night anyway. She hadn't been able to sleep and she'd had a few panic attacks. She pulled out a piece of paper from her colorful backpack pocket with flowers design printed on it. The paper was crumbled because she shoved it carelessly into her backpack front pocket when she was about to leave her apartment.
She read the neat handwriting on the piece of paper. It was a list of her things that she should bring with her to New York. She rechecked everything on the list. She had done this a few times because she was a little paranoid. She looked out of the taxi's window, she knew that in a few minutes, she would be arrived at the airport.
Her stomach churned at the thought that she will step her feet at the airport. She's been to the airport a few times but it always because of her brother. Every time her brother comes back to London for his holidays, she is the one who always pick him up at the airport. Now, she went to the airport to go to somewhere else, not to pick up her brother.
Finally, she arrived at the airport. She handed the driver the money and told him to keep the change. She got out of the taxi with her backpack slung over her right shoulder. The taxi driver handed her suitcase to her. She uttered a thank you before walking away to the inside of the airport, dragging her heavy suitcase with her. She looked around at her surroundings with awe. She didn't care if there were any people looking at her strangely.
This was her first time to go travelling outside the country so she should enjoy it, right? She couldn't believe that New York would be the first place where she goes travelling to. She knew she wasn't on some kind of summer vacation, but she believed that she will have some time to explore New York.
She felt her phone vibrated in her jeans pocket so she pulled it out and saw a text from her best friend, Sophie.
From: Sophie
"Hey, Summer. Have you arrived at the airport, yet? When will your plane take off from London?"
She quickly typed her reply with one hand since her other hand was holding the suitcase handle to drag it along with her. Suddenly, she felt her body bumped into something that made her phone dropped to the floor and someone's phone also dropped to the floor a few inches from hers.
"Ouch..." she winced while rubbing her nose. She looked up to see a boy with dark hair staring at her with anger. "I'm so sorry," she said nervously. She bent down to pick their phones and gave him his phone.
The boy took his phone rather harshly. "Next time, look at where you are going," he said through his gritted teeth.
After that he walked away, dragging his suitcase with him. Summer stood still with a slightly hung jaw, looking at the boy with disbelief.
"But I already said sorry," she murmured more to herself. She shrugged it off like it was never happened. She decided to continue her walk. In a few hours, I will be in New York. She repeated the sentences in her head to cheer her up and finally a small smile appeared on her face.

"Hey, Calum. We're here." A feminine voice woke him up.
He felt a light shake on his knee. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He looked out to the window and he saw a lot of people walking to the airport with their suitcases.
"Why do I have to leave so early in the morning?" He groaned, more likely to himself. He hated the fact that he had to wake up earlier than he usually does. His sister, Mali Koa, shifted in her seat so she could face her brother who sat on the backseat.
