Summer frowned as she stared blankly to the television. She couldn't stop blaming herself for what had happened three nights ago.

She should've said something to him.

She should've explained to Calum so he wouldn't think that she had moved on from him because in reality it was far from that. She still loved him every second in her life.

She should've called him back but everytime her hand reached out for her phone, the fear and the guilty feelings started to come and at the end, she would just stare at the phone.

She had done it bad and she knew she should fixed it. She was being a coward now and she knew it really well.

And to make the situation even worse, she'd been avoiding Mark for a few days. She didn't answer his call nor his messages. She didn't even want to read his messages. That night when Mark had called her name, Summer immediately ran to her car and drove back home.

Someone rang the bell a few moments later and she was snapped out of her trance. A look of confusion was painted on her face. It was almost midnight and someone was ringing her bell. She didn't even remember that she had ordered a pizza before. She took a quick glance to the clock that was hanging on the wall and her frown deepened.

The door bell rang again and she walked to the front door. She thought that maybe Harry had finally come back from his high school reunion. As she reached the front door, she realized immediately that Harry always had a spare keys. Every member in her family had one.

Maybe he lost his keys again, she said to herself.

With a huff, she opened the door. "I swear Harry you always lost your keys-" she complained but stop when she saw the person in front of her.

She felt the air had suddenly knocked out of her lungs and she stared at the person in front of her with wide eyes. She wished that what she saw in front of her just an illusion because there he was standing in front of her with his signature messy black hair, ripped black jeans and a navy blue coat over his black sweater.

"What are you doing here?" The words was blurted out of her mouth without her brain could process it.

He chuckled. "Hi, Summer. Nice to see you again," he answered sarcastically. His raspy voice woke up those butterflies that had slept inside her stomach.

Summer crossed her arms over her chest. The night wind was really cold especially when it was almost winter. "Calum, why are you here?" She asked. She should've scowled at him for being sarcastic or gave him a comeback but she was too surprised to see him standing in front of her.

"Tsk, tsk, Summer. Is this how you treat your guest? I'd love to talk to you but it's freezing cold out here. Aren't you going to let me in?" He shoved his hands inside his coat pockets.

Summer was hesitant at first because she was afraid that her parents found out that she let someone came into their house in this hour. Calum raised his eyebrows questioningly at Summer. She finally stepped aside to let him in and closed the door. She told Calum to go to the living room and she made her way to the kitchen to make some drinks for both of them.

Her mind was filled with thoughts of any possible reason as to why he came to her house in this hour. Those thoughts made her nervous and scared at the same time. As she waited for the coffee, she pulled out her phone from her hoodie pocket and called Sophie immediately.

"Hi, girl. What's up?" Sophie answered.

"Oh my God, Sophie. He is here," Summer whispered because she didn't want Calum to hear her conversation with Sophie.
