Summer looked around the penthouse. It offered the beautiful and perfect city view of New York. Summer smiled as she enjoyed the city view in front of her.

"Summer? Is that you?" A woman's familiar voice made Summer turn her head to see the black hair woman walking to her, still in her sleeping robe.

Summer smiled to her. "Did I wake you up, Mrs. Hood?" she asked politely to her boss.

"Oh, no, not all, honey," she said while waving her hand dismissively. "Did you come here alone?"

"No, ma'am. Claire's driver picked me up at the airport and he dropped me off here."

"No, I mean did you come here with my son and his best friend too?" Summer cocked her head to the side in confusion. "They had the same flight time with you, even the same airlines."

Summer shook her head with her eyebrows furrowed. "No, ma'am." Summer had never seen her boss' son because he never showed up at the office since all of Mrs. Hood's family lived in Sydney, Australia. Summer had a few times came to Mrs. Hood's office room, there was a photo of her family framed on her desk, but it wasn't the new one. It was taken 17 years ago when her children were still young.

Summer was trying to remember the time when Mrs. Hood told her that her children names were Mali Koa and mmm... Calvin? or Caleb? Yeah, maybe her son's name was Caleb.

Mrs. Hood nodded her head while looking to the ground. "Well, maybe they were picked up by the other driver then," Mrs. Hood murmured to herself. "How was your flight?" Mrs. Hood said as she made her way to the kitchen that adjoined the living room.

"It was... good."

Mrs. Hood nodded again and opened a cabinet to grab two white mugs. She placed the mugs on the sleek marble kitchen island. "Would you like some tea, dear?" Mrs. Hood asked Summer without looking at her. She closed the cabinet back and pour the tea from a kettle on a stove to the first mug.

"Yes, please, Mrs. Hood." Summer walked nearer to the kitchen island as Mrs. Hood poured the tea to her mug. Mrs. Hood handed the mug of tea to Summer carefully since it was still hot.

"Thank you, ma'am." Summer said and she blew the tea to make it cooler. She took a sip and felt relaxed as the slightly hot liquid made it way in her throat. Her stomach felt warmer.

"You should take a rest soon after you finish your tea. Claire invited us to a dinner tonight," Mrs. Hood said after a few minutes of silence between them.

Summer did as what Mrs. Hood told her to do. She finished off her tea and went to the bedroom that was meant for her when she was in New York. She looked at her suitcase that stood near the white vintage vanity at the corner of the room. She wanted to unpack her things but she couldn't fight the exhaustion because the lack of sleep.

She was really busy with her work in these past weeks because she wanted to leave London without any jobs left unworked behind so she could feel relaxed when she was in New York and there's nothing gonna make her worried. She dragged her feet lazily against the dark wooden floor to the king sized bed. She kicked off her shoes, not bothering where did it land. She plopped down to the bed with her face planted to the bed first.

She pulled the baby blue thick duvet to her body and brought her knees to her chest. Her eyelids began to get heavier with every steady breath that she took. She finally closed her eyes and drifted to sleep, dreaming the black haired boy with brown eyes looking at her with a smile plastered on his beautiful face.
